Is Bravissimo my answer?

Please help me! I've had so many bra fittings recently and I'm left depressed by them all as alI widely differ in sizes. I have no bras that fit and i just want someone who knows what they are doing!
Do you wonderful people think Bravissimo are any good??

I am on the very large side and I travel to a different city to get myself sorted at Bravissimo. I swear by them, always find they give a good service and can always get sorted there. You won't be dissapointed.

I love Bravissimo. Their fitters are excellent and very fussy about getting you the right fit.

Have also had a good experience at John Lewis.

No they took me down a back size and kept cup size the same. I questioned it but she insisted. I went to my interview with the 4 boob look and never wore that bra or shopped there again! It is amazing how persuasive a sales person can be in a confined space when you are standing half naked. Recommend the bra threads on here instead.

Well both myself and 2 DD's go there to get measured and our sizing is spot on.Especially as we have narrow backs and big boobs ! Just awaiting 5 bras in the post from them for DD. Maybe get sized there then go elsewhere to look at bras if you don't like theirs. TBH they do alot of the main labels, plus a few of their own(which I don't like).I have found some at Debenhams which are good but none at M&S. Their bras don't suit my shape and the backs come up very small.

I have tried measuring myself that way but came up a 32/34. Tried loads on in M&S but none fitted nicely - I know their bra can be odd shapes though. Since then I have three separate measurements at different places measuring me from a 34 to a 40 (which was today's masterpiece). And a c cup to a f. I'm so confused and depressed. I just want a bra that fits without cutting my rub cage in half or giving the oh so desirable 4 boob look. My last hope is bravissimo

I love Bravissimo!! It's a good idea to go into the store to be measured particularly if you're buying a brand or style that you haven't tried before.I got 3 new bras last week and all are different sizes.The lady in the Liverpool store worked tirelessly to find the perfect fit in each bra. Interestingly there was a style i really liked that we just couldn't get a good fit even by going down a band size or up a cup size.Just had to conclude it wasn't the bra for me.

I have had two bf children so boobs not as firm as they once might have been!

That would put you around a 34E as a starting point

So debenhams suggestion of a 40c was a bit off!
I have to admit that I've tried a 34e before but it wasn't right but that was in M&S. I tried all combos either side as well.
I think I always go for a plunge, t shirt type bra which doesn't help me. Think a balcony would be better.
I'm so fed up of trying them all on.

The t shirt type ones are often moulded so they're harder to get a decent fit in

Debenhams own brand is called Gorgeous I think and sometimes comes up small in the band, they usually stock curvy kate and freya too

I've always found the Bravissimo fitters fit me well, I've been going there (Solihull) for about 10 years. Having said that, last time they talked me out of my beloved Freya's into a Bravissimo own brand bra which is a bit uncomfortable, but I have got a stupidly large H cup to deal with requiring 3 hooks and inch wide straps!

Obviously nowhere is foolproof, but I find Debenhams and John Lewis don't have even half the range of styles and sizes in stock.

Really I think it's worth a try. They will get you much nearer to your proper size than M&S or Debenhams. You can always buy more of the same bra online afterwards.

I wonder if they push their own range now they have it - make sure you get to try a few different brands.

I've been wondering about trying Bravussimo although I am small with possibly a wide band. Just looked at the better bra campaign- might explain why the Victoria's Secret website puts me at a 32D when I've been wearing a 34 or 36 band size. Another website puts me at a 36A and another at 34A. But I think I'd find 32 too stifling. And if you have to try several on to see what feels comfortable then doesn't that render the measurements a bit pointless? I personally love how the belvia bra doesn't dig in but it is too wide at the straps , ie could do with a neater design. You've probably got little to lose by trying Bravissimo and seeing how they fit you. (Do they also do decent knickers... That is a whole other area of problems for me!)

One of the best parts about getting fitted at Bravissimo is if they get it wrong they will exchange. I once bought a bra there that seemed to fit in the changing room, but was increasingly uncomfortable all afternoon. Took it back and they spent ages bringing me lots of styles to get the right fit, apologising for sending me away with a badly fitted bra, and exchanging (even although I'd worn one all afternoon on a hot day, so I really doubt they were going to be selling that one to anyone else).

I was disappointed with my last Bravissimo bra, though it was for nursing. I know they should be slightly looser but I tried on one which felt really supporting but the lady vetoed it for a big mono boob saggy one.
Maybe nursing mums must embrace the frump.

General question - this morning I am desperate and have on a 36d as I had a minor washing machine fail with my only ok bra a few days ago. Band feels a bit loose even on the tightest setting so that would suggest I'm a 34. The central bit isn't sitting flat, it's sitting proud on my boobs - does that mean I need a bigger or smaller band or cup, I'm confused!

Debenhams are the worst in my opinion. When I was a size 16 with enormous breastfeeding boobs a Debenhams woman measured me at a 44B and with a sad face told me unfortunately no-one makes bras in that size.

I ended up buying some 36FFs which did the job nicely.
