Help make my hair soft again!

Welcoming any tips to get my thick, dry, curly hair back soft and silky again! I get regular trims, use limited heat (2-3 times a month) and when I do I use heat protectant.
I've tried shampoos and conditioners for dry hair, coloured hair, frizzy hair etc.
I've also tried leave in conditioner but it had limited affects.

Any help appreciated Smile

cod liver oil capsules can help from the inside. I keep away from the hairdryer and try to condition with every wash, but mine can look parched if it gets in the sun.

I have a lot of coarse/dry/wavy hair. The best things I have found by far are:-

<a class="break-all" href="//www.amazon.co.uk/Pureology-Hydrate-Shampoo-8-5oz-Conditioner/dp/B00ES6KDB8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434912429&sr=8-1&keywords=pureology%20shampoo%20and%20conditioner&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">Pureology Sulphate free

And Liz Earle hair oil. Amazing stuff.

Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer is brilliant stuff. Pricey but it lasts for ages and really does smooth your hair.

argan oil a couple of drops on damp hair works wonders. also dove do an oil as do many brands TBH all seem to give a frizz free softness.

DD rubs coconut oil into her hair and leaves it for ten minutes before she washes it. It seems to work, but go a little goes a long way.

I love the Units argan oil, I think it might only be from salons though.

Agree with taking fish oil capsules, or flax if veggie. Helps skin and eyes too.

I really rate Kerastase oleo relax hair mask. It is stupidly expensive (think unicorn tears prices) but works brilliantly. Locks of silk.

I wonder if some dissolved Epsom salts in your last rinse water would help.

We live in a hard water area and I sometimes dissolve some for washing my face.
