plus size: what to wear with skinny jeans

I'm a size 22 and have about 3 tops I wear with my skinny jeans but I'd like some more.
I have big boobs and am conscious of of my tummy. Any ideas please?

No idea but patiently waiting to find out ;-)

Always wear a stretchy cotton camisole underneath whatever you're wearing-it'll slim down any lumps or bumps and hold in any jiggle. You can buy decent camis for about £2 in Primark in any colour.
What sort of tops do you like? Long/short sleeves? Try something V or scoop necked. With skinny jeans its probably best to wear something slightly looser or oversized on your top half. You could try a cotton shirt, if you can't find a good fit on your chest check out the mens department as they generally have more space in the chest then womens shirts. Don't be afraid to size up or wear something slightly oversized.
Try to go for tops with thicker material as well so they're not clingy. I'm a size 10 with a lot of loose skin from weight loss and I hate any tops being too clingy!

I definitely want short sleeves for the summer.
I'd absolutely hate to wear a man's shirt if I'm honest. It's like i can't get anything to fit so I have to wear mens clothes.
I quite like vintagey, ,floral and "pretty" clothes.
Fab idea about camisoles. Thank you

Same size and wear skinny jeans. a lot.

I personally, while not liking anything too tight, hate anything too 'oversized'. I look like a ship in full sail in anything too baggy with no definition. Also not keen on thick material when it's hot. Having said that, it's not easy to find the ideal thing I agree!

Polyhmnia what kind of tops do you have if you don't mind me asking.
I have two very thin round neck tshirts with turned up sleeved and then a top with lace at the top, an exposed zip and floral (shell material? ) that comes just past my bottom. All new look inspire.

What about getting a cami top and then a kimono style top. You could fasten it with a nice brooch

...or loose belt to create an hour glass type silhouette

Dreamcometrue,

Sorry only getting back now.
I am a size 22. I'm definetely not a fashionista ;-( although I would love to be)
I have a mishmash of tops. I hate those tops with elastic round the bottom ie bubble tops? But increasingly find that is all that is available.
I HATE anything clingy but I don't look good in floaty.
I buy from M&S Debenhams, Simply Be
I have been very definetely a pair shape all my life BUT unfortunately I have become a hybrid I'm an apple/pear/hourglass ;-).
I just find it increasingly difficult to find decent every day quality items that are flattering ;-(

P.S like the idea of cammy top and blazer combo but any cammy tops I have cling like cling film and that is soooo NOT a good look if it is hot and you have to take blazer off ;-(

I hate those tops too. And ones with "I love chocolate" and things like thaton tthem.
Love ideas of camisoles. Going to have a mooch on Internet now.

Try Lagenlook stuff you can get it on eBay or just google for mail order sites... They do a range of loose fitting tunic tops that look great with skinny jeans also Joe Browns via website or Simply Be sell their designs.

Also 2nd kimono jackets & a camisole top.. I prefer to wear a looser fitting silky type camisole under them though rather than a tight Jersey one as I hate my belly.

I'm pregnant and have put on a bit of weight in excess to the bump, I'm finding things that cling over the boobs then swing out to the bum from an empire line are very flattering right now and stop me overheating/feeling too trussed up. I tried on a lovely floral purple one in White Stuff but couldn't justify the cost for a fancy vest...but it was very pretty!!

yy to Lagenlook. I also buy dresses and shorten them a little to wear as tunics.

Or also yes to previous recs of cami or vest top and kimono style jacket. New Look have some nice ones. Although I find the excess material in the kimono can make me a bit hot (even though they're light, I'm pregnant!) but the cami is too revealing to wear alone...

Cami top and a blazer (love the evans crepe ones)
More casual, I wear a really long Matalan vest top with Nicky rockets t shirts (I like the slash neck and they go to 5XL)

If you're hourglass, you can wear a tunic top cinched by a belt with your skinnies. I've seen that look in many plus size blogs and that works.
