Boots Smooth Care facial hair lightener - discontinued?

I have been to around six Boots stores searching for this and it doesn't seem to be available online either. Does anyone know if it's being discontinued? It's a great product and much better than Jolen. Not sure what I'll do about my 'tache without it!

Have you looked online?

Sorry I have just seen that you have! The other brand is ok but the boots one is great so I will have a look near where I am too.

Glad it's not just me that relies on this! And with summer coming up?! It gets amazing reviews, I just can't think why it would be discontinued...

The 'other brand' is fiddly and sort of falls of your face. The Boots one is much more user friendly and really works.

I've been hunting for this too and can't find it in any stores near me, I'm gutted.

Oh dear. I hope they're just repackaging it or renaming it. I've been through this scare with the same item before, back when it changed from Boots Expert Hair Lightener or whatever it was a few years ago.
Fingers crossed it's just that, but I'll be unhappy too if it has gone. Been using it and its predecessors since my early teens, and agreed it is much better than other brands.

Nooooo - say it ain't so. Myself and 2 of my DD's who have inherited my dark moustache and hair rely on this - so much better than Jolen.

Just looked at the Boots site and ALL the Smooth Care products are reduced and several are out of stock. That makes me think that a full-range repackage or renaming is on the cards, like they did before with Boots Expert, and they're clearing out the old stock.

When it went AWOL before (maybe 5 years ago) I phoned Boots customer services and the assistant speculated it had been discontinued - the staff weren't given any info about the renaming of the product then. Then it reappeared a couple of months later in the Smooth Care packaging.

A few might pop up on eBay.

I don't use it as much as I used to, having done IPL, so what I've got will probably last the year. But I used it every week or two for years, so do feel for those who are still doing so.

I have found it in a small local Boots. Only the remover was reduced all the rest was still full price so it might be worth checking smaller shops?

I spoke to customer services and the product is being repackaged and will be back in stores by the end of the month, happy days!

I've fair skinned and have a fair tache. I use Nair extra sensitive once a month to get rid of it completely, otherwise make up can clog in it.

I remember this... But it's not been available since the last 2 months that i have been looking as well... 4 boots stores have confirmed that they have been recalled in AGAIN. What is going on? I rely on this and hate Jolen.

Jolene is horrible, it stings and fizzes and makes my eyes water....I won't even say how it feels if you accidentally sniff some up your nose in the throws of a bleaching session!! 😫

I hate Jolen too.
Boots is so much more user friendly.
Half and half - no faff like Jolen- one third of this and two thirds of that.
Why do they need to repackage?
If it ain't broke why fix it???
Please don't let them reformulate it - aghhh!

Hi all
I was so disappointed when this stopped being available but I just discovered Superdrug do a similar cream product. Tried it today and it's great! No messy powder like Jolen.

I used this recently too. I agree the new formula is way too strong. It burnt my skin and i had scarring the next day. Why did they change it from the original formula 😩😩.
