Seldons

Pros

They are definitely waterproof
They look bloody good, surprisingly so
They appear to look like they'll cope with mud etc
Will go with lots

Negs
Zip at the back, but it's well, made and will break in easily enough

Just googled and the Seldon are gorgeous! Get them. Are they sheepy all the way down?

Grandles

Pros

They are exactly like wearing normal fugly Uggs my feet love them
Flares are back so I can wear them with Jeans through Spring
As well as with Skinnies

Negs
They are suede so may not be as robustly waterproof as the Seldons
I've always wanted a pair but I've a horrible feeling the Seldons are the more sensible choice.

Oh they're not sheepy. Get the Grandle

Honeydragon · 06/02/2015 22:10

No, the Seldons are sheepy at the bottom and have a thick insulated liner up the sides.

I can wear both without socks.

Seldons were a bargain at £73.00

Grandles were £80.00

Seldons for the country walks. Grandles for the town/city shopping.

oooh, difficult choice.

how far down does the back zip go? i had a pair of boots with a back zip, they didnt last long, it would put me off buying another pair of boots with one.. but suede not really good for british weather.

erm.. if the zip is good, i'd go for the seldons.

Purple ...are you dh?

The zip goes down to the heel BatDog

Seldons - I have been coveting them for a while.

Where did you try them on? That sounds like a triff bargain

No - don't tell me actually - I've only just bought two pairs of knee boots and I really can't justify another two.

I'm not your DH, mines sat next to me wondering why I'm laughing so much at the dinosaur thread. I'm just encouraging you to purchase both. Since your DH is unhelpful you could blame it on him? (Or just get the grandles).

Zip

I have both in my house right now! I'm agonising over which to return.

I also got Ugg Cardies for £44 but they are too big

Very have a sale on

whats the fit like? with a back zip, i would suggest going a size up and wearing thicker socks.

i found that with my boots (not seldons btw) that because they were a slightly snug fit, that walking in them basically split the stitching that held the zip.

Fits good. Lot of people have complained the calf is too narrow and they can't do the zip up, but I'm good there's give in the ankle and on the calf.

you should be ok with them then.. i'd imagine being uggs that they're better made than my £40 ones :)

If they did split I'd be having WORDS.

I know what you mean though, my most favourite boots were about £30 from ShoeZone, but the way I sat at my desk made the zip split at the ankle.

I paid about 3 times what the boots were worth repeatedly getting the zip fixed till the cobbler said they couldn't take anymore Blush

Do you think they'd both last a good few years?

I have the grandles and I love them. They are actually massively waterproof. Ever since I got them I no longer hate winter Smile

Where are they £80?! I bought a pair of grandles on Black Friday and they are the only things I've worn on my feet since then when out of the house, no joke. they are so comfy but I do need to give them a wipe or something as 3 months of daily walks along a muddy canal has left them looking a little scruffy. I gave them a spray with some waterproofing stuff before I wore them and they've held up perfectly to rain and puddles.

I have the Gershwins and they are great in the snow and rain. Waterproof and toasty warm! They are just a taller sort of Grandle.

They were £100 on Very, but I had a £20 voucher

The Grandles are amazingly comfortable

But the Seldons do look smart.....

If they really are waterproof I think I'm going to get the Grandles.

I'll try and photo the Seldons tomorrow
