am wearing the office bramble boots now! They are nice and classic but take a loooong time to break in.

How comes velour? they look super comfy! Also did you have to size up or down? Might have a look at them on Sunday ahead of buying them in case - if a shoe doesn't fit well I don't end up wearing them much

Loving these.

The Office boots look lovely but I can imagine they might be stiff leather?

& why have I never considered a long cashmere cardigan instead of a dressing gown (which I loathe). May have to wait until children are old enough not to smear peanut butter on it every morning, however.

They are quite, in the end (still popping bits of sellotape on my heels though Blush), but coffee's right, the heel bit is really stiff leather. They were honestly worse to break in than either pair of DMs I've got. One night when it was pouring with rain and I was walking home, had to force them back on to go outside, took a few agonising steps and thought oho no way, and made my way home in my socks. Got stares on the metro...
But you can buy some sort of softening solution for leather I read somewhere- just didn't get round to buying any myself.
I think they're true to size, but if I had to choose I'd say size up. Don't mean to put you off them, they're worth it!

I tried the Office Bramble Chelsea boots and didn't find them very comfy at all. I took them back in the end and bought the Dune Paddy (I think) Chelsea boots. They are sooo comfy and I wear them with everything. I don't think I've worn any of my other boots since I got them in September Grin

I would also like:

leather leggings
Hudson horrigan boots in smoke
fur coat
botox Shock

the dune paddys look pretty similar, hope they'll both be in store this sunday will give them both a good test. Sounds like an ordeal with the brambles, don't think I would have persevered with them!(I'm a footwear wuss) may also consider popping some ugg insoles into them i wear them with my other every day boots and it feels s..o.. good!

noelle I've seen that bag for around £2000 - where did you see it for £11000?

Re the cashmere cardi I have a toddler too but what the hell, you only live once, and also my dh told me my bedclothes were very grannylike so want to sort out my 'loungewear'
