Does anyone else not wash their face in the morning?

I told my sister yesterday that I don't wash my face in the morning & she said I was horrible & wrong.

I cleanse & moisturise every night, with possibly some serum or facial oil once a week if I remember, then in the morning I rinse my face with clean warm water & that's it. I wear a full face of make up every day, I have SPF in my foundation & never go to sleep with make up on.

Do I really need to wash my face & apply moisturiser in the morning? I'm usually in a rush & it would be a faff! I'm 38 but have no obvious wrinkles or ageing signs if it makes a difference...

I haven't today. I did the same as you last night & just reapplied moisturiser this morning for the new term school run.

My face feels greasy & dirty now though, I need a wash... but I don't see anything wrong with you :)

I only ever "wash" my face with baby lotion, either in the morning or at night. Never use water or a cleanser or anything else. I have nice skin and never get spots. Whatever works for ya!

If you are rinsing the overnight sweat off you're fine. Ignore!

Nah, I give it a splash but that's to wake me up as much as anything else. I've cleansed the night before so I don't see the point of doing it again. I do moisturise morning and night but then I'm older and have drier skin.

I can't understand people who don't shower (including face!) every morning, I find it really gross. I can smell people who don't shower in the morning, and it is just unpleasant.

but you are - you said you rinse your face with clean warm water. In my world, that sounds like washing.

I never specifically wash my face. I have a shower every morning, so it gets rinsed, but I don't use soap or anything on it. I don't wear makeup, just moisturise in the morning after my shower. I've never noticed it seeming dirty.

Saurus-I expect you can smell people who don't shower enough full stop, not specifically in the morning.

I use micellar water in the mornings and evenings.

How do you know they haven't showered that morning? Do you ask them?
Just for the record, I shower or wash - just not my face. Grin

I shower every morning but don't wash my face. I just put serum on, then eye cream, then moisturiser, sometimes primer, then make up.

I haven't washed my face in the morning for years. In fact I rarely wash my face. It is cleansed and moisturised morning and night.

I only wash my face when I shower in the evening.

Unlike saurus (I presume) I get mucky doing my job so must wash at the end of the day - my bed would get filthy otherwise!

I shower in the morning, but don't specifically wash my face. I find it drying.
I don't cleanse/moisturise either. Sometimes use olay if it feels dry - but then I don't wear make up!

I suspect its due to not wearing make up but my skin is great... although now I'm older I suspect I'd look better with a bit on.

On the rare occasions I wear make up I cleanse/mositurise at night.

Floisme well there is a distinct, unwashed, bed smell. Just...not fresh. I can tell one of my good friends at work doesn't shower in the morning, it's not nice. My husband does say I'm like a bloodhound, I would be a very good sniffer dog.

I use facial wipes and apply moisturiser as my skin is quite dry (probably from the wipes!)

Saurus72 fair enough, I hope I would pass your sniff test Grin

I've just stopped washing face in the mornings. I hated the way my skin was looking. I stayed a few days at a house with a water softener and my skin looked and felt better so much better so I figured hard water was to blame. I give a wash during evening shower with cleanser.

I start work at 6.30am most mornings so don't have time to cleanse, tone and moisturise as I would in the evening. However I found a fairly new product called micellar water, just splash it on cotton wool wipe over your face and it literally feels completely fresh and clean!

Nope, I've never washed in the morning (unless I have the day off and I feel I need it)
Just moisturiser and under eye stuff. Evening I cleanse and often then hot cloth cleanse.

Skin is a living organ and during the night your skin naturally cleanses the pores and will push old skin cells/dirt up to the surface. Cleansing in the morning aids the process by removing the debris.

You will have a fresher, more radiant complexion if you do cleanse morning as well as night and your moisturisers etc will be able to work better too.
