32f, 30g. Someone will come along better informed than me, but I'd try those sizes. What are you wearing now?

38DD

I'd start with a 32F too. 38 must be up by your neck!

God, maybe it'll finally make my boobs look less saggy?!

You must be so uncomfortable!

how about 36/41?

Elfina Try 30G/GG and 32FF/G. The cup volume of a 38DD is equal to the volume of a 32FF/30G.

If you scoop whilst wearing your 38DD, is there a lot of overspill, quadboob etc.?

Snog Try a 36DD and possibly a 34E if you have a squishy torso.

Thanks Sorrel. Thats a much bigger cupsize than I usually try as my boobs are pretty small!

Snog What size are you wearing now? Please bear in mind that bra sizes are relative to band size

wearing m&s 38b but the fit isnt quite right. m&s 36 is too tight around my ribs though

OK, M&S is very erratic so disregard that!

The cup volume of a 38B is equal to a 36C, 34D and so on. Your 38B feels too tight because the cups are too small and your breasts are having to 'steal' room from the band and M&S bands are very random.

If you scoop whilst wearing your 38B, do you get overspill, under arm bulge, back fat?

Report
Snog · 21/03/2014 21:31

I get bulge at the sides and the underwires dont seem to be a wide enough circumference, but a 36C I have gaps in and dont fill up!

Report
Snog · 21/03/2014 21:34

oops I mean its a 38c that I dont fill up. havent tried a 36c as the band is so tight but perhaps I need to"scoop" or perhaps dumping m&s will make a big difference!

I think that trying some non-M&S bras is a good way to go! What shops have you got nearby? Bravissimo? JL?

It sounds like the cups are definitely too small and it's also highly likely that the style is wrong for your shape. What type of bra is it?

think I will try john lewis tomorrow. thanks for the advice Smile

generally balconette is good for me and plunge or full cup is awful. I have a bravissimo nearby but think my boobs are too small for their bras!!

I think you might be surprised! Bravissimo start at a D cup which in simple terms means that there is a 4" difference between the under bust and across bust measurements.

If you're struggling to fill the top of a cup but it fits at the bottom then you may have shallow breasts. Bras like the Cleo Lucy work well for this shape.

Honestly, though, just go to Bravissimo. If you are genuinely too small for their sizes, they will still point you in the right direction for size and style.

Argh! What do you mean by 'scoop'????

Maybe I do have shallow breasts as I certainly can't create any cleavage no matter what bra I have on! Thanks for all the tips - I may brave Bravissimo todayShock

I have been to Bravissimo for a 20 minute fitting session. They showed me where the strap should fit at the back - mine was too high and too loose. And they showed me the scoop/ boob loading manoeuvre.

And I now have 5 new bras in size...

36DD!!! And I had worried that Bravissimo were going to throw me out of the shop for being too small of nork...
Round of applause for SorrelThanks Thanks Thanks

Right, I've actually checked my "best fitting bra", and it's actually 34DD, not 38. When I do the scoop thing, I get slight 4-boob, and the straps dig into my shoulders....what does this mean??

Yay! So do Bravissimo do the proper measuring technique?
