You know the feeling, you just keep thinking that the next best thing is just around the corner.

I have found my Holy Grail products and it's taken me until nearly 50 to do so. Skin type combination.

Skincare AM
Hot flannel or any micellar water
Revitalift 10 serum
Elemis ProCollagen Marine cream or Clinique DDML gel

Skincare PM
EH Moringa Balm cleanser
Alpha H Liquid Gold twice a week at night
Decleor balm other nights

No exfoliating, a once a week deep cleanse with a sonic brush (Rio in this case)
No masks
Occasional dousing with Sanctuary Therapists facial oil if my skin feels at all weather beaten/centrally heated

Make-up
LMTM or EWDW Light for special occasions
Benefit mascara
Clinique quickliner
Clarins blusher
EL or Lancôme lipsticks in rose tones

I will NOT buy anything else!

What will you not veer from or are you still searching for your HG's?

Not face, but Philip Kingsley shampoo and Aveda black malva conditioner. Anything else makes my scalp feel horrid.

Clav can I asked what colour lipsticks you are using? I'm trying to find some nice rose toned lipsticks for everday wear. TIA :)

Peachy blush (having done pinks for years).
Same for lippies.... All plums are out and in with the pink/peach.
My own hair colour. I've had highlights for years so I feel like I'm not "fighting" my "artificial" colouring anymore. No more expense and shiny hair like I having had in a very long time.

Morning
Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Cream wash
Superdrug Vitamin E oil
Superdrug vitamin E intensive moisture cream

Evening
Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser
Neutrogena wash
AD Skin Synergy night treading oil
Superdrug Viramin E night cream

2 nights a week I use Alpha H liquid gold instead on oil & night cream and 1 week a month I use Decleor Balm essential every night.

I can't stick to 1 makeup brand though, especially now I can't indulge my love of trying new things with skincare!

Morning
Lush Angels on Bare Skin
Trilogy rose hip oil

Evening
Anita Grant carrot and wheat germ cleanser
Trilogy rose hip oil

Still looking for a serum that actually works and doesn't sting my skin.

Makeup
By Terry light expert foundation (not quite my HG but better than anything else I've tried, wish it was cheaper!)
Stila pomegranate crush lip tint
Maybelline full n soft mascara

HG primer, eye shadow and eye liner remain elusive...

The trouble is, your skin changes so your Holy Grails let you down. I'm in my fifties and my skin is getting drier and also sensitive so products I've used for years e.g. Olay have stopped working. At the moment, the best thing is oil (pretty much any kind). Same with make up: I can't find a foundation and heavy eye make up doesn't look good any more so I'm trying out a bare-face-with-lipstick look. It will probably change again.

I do follow a 'one in, one out' rule, partly because too much stuff makes my skin flare up and partly because I am deeply sceptical of new 'miracle' products. So BB cream instead of foundation, fine (although it didn't work) but serum plus moisturiser? Pull the other one.

Lancome visionaire. My friends are sick of hearing how it's changed my life. Lol.
