Footwear for trip to Disneyland

So what can I wear on my feet other than trainers that I will be able to walk miles in day in day out? Do I get some of those walking sandals??!!! I want comfort over style but obviously don't want to look like a hideous frump everyday!

Try ecco and rieker, you may have to sift through some very granny-esque sandals but i got a lovely pair from ecco and a gladiator style pair for my very fussy teenage daughter from reiker, and there were no sore feet the whole 2 weeks!

We went to Orlando last year and I just wore my havaianas. I took my fitflops as they are super comfy but were too hot there.

I have super comfy Birkenstocks that I lived in over there. The ones with the ankle strap as they stay on my feet easier.

Disneyland Paris? Whatever you'd wear to Legoland, Chessington etc. Trainers are Ok.

If you're going to Orlando it's worth bearing in mind that all the discount malls are over there. So maybe take one pair of sandals and treat yourself while you're out there.

You will not care once you can trudge smilingly walk the miles in comfort. Honestly. As long as they are cool and comfortable you will not care. Even if you are a hideous frump in your choice of footwear, you will be flipping delighted with your comfort.

It was exceptionally hot when we went and we were in the parks for hours on end. I wore a mix of trainers and riekers and top tip, took a small reviving footspray in my bag.
It was just nice when we sat down and the kids liked the novelty of it too.

Another good tip if you're there for a few days is not to wear the same shoes two days running.

I realise I'll be shot down in flames here, but my experience of theme parks, and hot Orlando in particular, is that crocs rock.

Your comfiest flip flops even if they are old as long as they are comfy

Style is not the priority in Orlando - it is a style desert. I wore Birkenstocks but when it rains it's horizontal in hindsight I'd have brought a poncho and either Havianas or crocs and no skirts or dresses - shorts are good. Seriously though the walking is nothing, nowhere near as much as Legoland Windsor and there is transport for those who can't walk that far. We had a great time, despite intending not to!

DDs wore crocs, I wore very comfy Clarks sun seekers (yes Velcro granny sandals) and DH lives in sandals all year round, except in the office.

Honestly you walk miles and miles and it's hot and sticky.

No one dresses up, all shapes and sizes are in Tshirts, shorts and walking sandals and ancient comfy trainers (which I can't do in the heat, but locals can).

We certainly did walk, but we only had a week to see and do three Disney parks, sea world (which was a horrific chase to make show times) and a big water park.

We have been three times and have spent at least 2 weeks full on at the parks on each trip
You imagine it is going to be miles and miles but it isn't. I am always shocked/confused by the amount of talk there is about footwear.

Most other women were wearing trainers.

I have big feet. In trainers I look like a set square.

Crocs flip flops, the wedge ones are the comfiest and supportive.

I wore converses (?) or Merrell sandals and put a pair of comfy flip flops in my bag. Around 4pm it was blissful just to change shoes.

I find crocs the best, if nothing else they are easily dried after you get caught in their not so light rain. Nothing worse than spending the rest of the day in soggy converse.
