I used to have lots of long hair....but it's all disappearing. I think it's due to me getting older? And probably broken off due to a short phase of me using a curling iron and totally recking it!!!!

I have tried lots of different products but nothing works. I think a cut us in order. Am I too old for a bob? I am needing some sort of fringe too but not s proper fringe as I know that would not suit me, a side fringe maybe??

I would love some suggestions!

:)

Nor do you say how old you are Grin

Anyway, I would suggest a sharp graduated bob (ie longer at front than back) with side swept fringe.

I have the same hair as you. I use hair thickening spray and curlers to do a kind of curly/mad thing. Often worn with a bandanna and a bow on top.
I like it Grin

Oops...I am 38!

Cutted up hair-what curlers do you use? Do they not damage hair? My hair looks best curly but can't use the wand more.

I agree with Ellie, a bob that's longer in the front than the back, and side-swept fringe. My best friend is this stuff called Beach Spray, can you get that in the UK? (I'm in Canada.) It's lovely. You spray it on, and it thickens, and can give a tousled effect or you can use a round brush and then fluff it - it's wonderful. Mine's by Marc Anthony, if you can get that brand, and it smells like pineapples.

I use www.amazon.co.uk/Babyliss-Flexible-Ceramic-Styling-Sticks/dp/B0012BDH8S/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1351239870&sr=8-16these&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21 and put them in after washing my hair and whilst spraying a bit of John Freida Luxurious Volume Thickening Spray in at the roots. When it's all dry a few hours laterand after a visit to Tescos in my headscarf I wiggle the curlers out and pin the curls over night.

Tease them out the next day and it's good for about 4 days. It might seem like a lot of bother but before doing this I'd have to wash my hair every other day because it got too greasy - this is loads less bother and I can pin the curls up a bit if I like.
