Celtic Sheepskin Boat Neck Dress - anyone got it?

Following on from the 'cosy, longsleeved, flattering dress' thread, I'm stepping up my effort to find something lovely (no acrylic!).

CountryBelle mentioned Celtic Sheepskin but trixymalixy said some MNers find their dresses shapeless.

I've had a look and like the look of the Boat Neck Dress so I'd love to hear from anyone who has it.

I'm 5'10" (pear, 10 top/12 bottom) so most likely a medium unless their sizing is very generous (Gap generous).

Any thoughts?

I've just sent it back. Shapeless.

Thanks for replying!

What a pity. It looks so good on the model in the pics and video.

I'm guessing ok on the top and bottom, but baggy round the back and waist?

Exactly that. I'm hourglass, but not crazily so, and it was huge around my middle.

I am a similar shape to OP, 6ft and size 12 top 14bottom, and I LOVE the boden cable knitted dress, in non scratchy wool. Size 12R is knee length for me. It is fitted at the top and then flares out. Might become my winter staple dress if it washes o.k. (sorry no links as on i pad) . It is my first Boden purchase ever.

Normally I have success with white company dresses, but not seen one ths year.

Hopefully I find that a lot with dresses. I have small less firm since pregnancy and BF boobs and a bit of a wobbly bottom and thighs, but I do have a waist which I work to maintain so I'd love to find some dresses which go in at the middle instead of all these sack-like garments. Frustrating, isn't it?

Chandon, thanks so much for the tip. Does it drape nicely?

It does not drape, it is fitted until the waist, then hangs iyswim, it is flattering as a feminine shape yet not in any way tarty...

Sorry, I probably didn't mean drape so much as hang. I've found sometimes with wool that it sticks out unflatteringly rather than hangs, but it sounds like that's not the case with this dress. I'm going to read all the reviews on the Boden site now.

I ordered the slouchy one in poppy. im normally a 10/12 so i ordered a small and medium to compare sizes. I thought the slouch one was nice cos of the ribbed hem to shape it in at bottom. Cant wait for them to arrive, I've got high hopes!

The poppy colour is gorgeous and I agree about the ribbed hem for shape.

Come back and tell us what it's like when it arrives?
