I'm needing new clothes for work (start 2011 as mean to go on looking smarter) but where do I need to be looking?

I'm 5'7 size 14 will average norks, waist and a tummy needs controlling...

Any colour but black!

some lovely dresses but most a bit too formal or high necked for me.

Which one was the DP one? As quite like the look of the Cream spot border twist dress
which is more in keeping with the style I'd wear/suits

Keep em coming!

I work for myself as an IT Consultant, so some clients are really smart and others (NHS not at all)...

Budget I have no set amount really just as long as I'd get lots of wear.

I love the DV dresses but I'd hate the pattern after about 2 wears

I guess I'm looking for smart with heels but also less smart with cardy and flats?

eek wrap make me look pregnant (and also have mental block with them as wore them with each pregnancy!)

Love the bird dress but out of stock and also the grey mint velvet but not sure if it would cling to all the wrong places?

FC one is way to short a dress on me as have tried it on.

Thanks for all the suggestions - I'm only looking for dresses as given up trying to find nice separetes for trousers/skirt/tops

Love that blouse Tethersend but not sure my gut is up to having things tucked in?

Love the Whistles one - will order that

Ang one is too draper (untidy) for me but
lovely

Love the bird print - will order from ASOS

Thanks for all the help, how do you find all these websites?

Great Smile

I'm certain you could wear the blouse and a pencil skirt- make sure the skirt is lined and sits high on the waist, and pull the blouse out a bit so it 'puffs' IYSWIM- it's incredibly flattering.

How do I find all the websites? My home looks like a bomb's hit it, my child is feral and my relationship is in ruins Grin

Ah, well you'll have to give me more details... how high? Chunky heel? Mary Jane? Shoeboot? Court? Colour?

I would get some high heeled loafers or chunky heels- have a look here at Francois piped detail court shoe and NW3 Fitzjohn Brogue- there are also some nice shoeboots there which would go with the trousers.

Ankle boots like this or this Or this could work well too
