If nobody ever used rude words Rhubarb would be able to read everything on MN on her French school computer - as it is an astonishing number of threads are filtered out, and she can't read custy's emails at all, lol!!!

Oh what fun I we used to have with Toothache's work email filter. It used to send you an email back saying that your email had been bounced due to the language but the best bit was, it gave you a score!!! The score was broken down by word too. Sigh. I think she's changed jobs since then though

Fuck, yes!

Blu's work filter is like Mary Whitehouse; it clearly has an utterly filthy mind to see profanity where even I have not intended it. Actually I got an email bounced back by a local council recently for Language which I can only think was because I mentioned breastfeeding in it.

I choose my friends by their swearing skills, so no profanities would make it very hard for me to draw others in to my clique

I second mif's idea for inventive almost-swears - could be fun and I think I already started the ball rolling (no pun intended!) with Oh My Gonads.

I have a friend who uses 'horse' for arse when she is around her children.

And could we be banned for usig the correct anotomical term (and as a biology teacher I would hope not!)

So irritating vulva would be OK but irritating cunt would be out.

Stupid prick would be out but limited intelect penis would be OK.

Copulation off!

And buggery is a recognised legal term.
