Hi

I am looking to buy an ABC adventure buggy. The triplet version sells for around £600 on eBay. I just emailed them direct and they have replied with a price list marked as a January sale price which is fabtasticaly cheap.

The email was [email protected] from Phil Green. I am hoping this is all legit. Has anyone bought direct like this?

Thanks
Sarah

Oooh, this is very exciting. I have been wanting to order one of these for months but was scared off by all of the costs of importing including duty, taxes, etc. Did they talk about any of that in their quote? I have just emailed to ask about the January sale.

Hi

Its an amazing price I got quoted!!! Email Phil Green he's the manager
[email protected]

He said they have had a heap of enquiries in reply to their January sale offer for UK customers and I am not at all suprised. There's one on eBay at the mo and the current bid is £400 and the lady PM saying she would consider a buyitnow for £550. the same brand new with freight is coming in as £500!!

I ordered the double with a reclining top toddler seat. All the rain covers and sun shades plus an under storage bag for £499 plus I have added one baby mattress, one sleep bag and a cross bar for a buggy board and it's all in at £560 I think which includes postage!!!

What are you after?

I'm pretty sure that Phil Green is Phil from Phil and Teds.

yes it is the phil from phil and teds, they are very helpful, i have had several ABC buggies over the years.
make sure it fits in your boot as its long when folded, i have a galaxy and had to take wheels off to get it in.
phil used to sell them direct then gobabago only sold them (for a massive mark up) now it appears that phil now sells them direct again which is great, dont forget you have to add tax as well when you import them.
they are fantastic buggies, well made (much better than p&t quality), robust, very adaptable as well and easy to use. the resale value is great as well.

Hi I have been reading this and wondered if you could just confirm the prices you have been charged. I have received a quote and it is £500 for the double buggy then another £200 for the toddler seat and all the raincovers etc. are more Thanks

Hi

I got the quote 2 days ago from Phil. I emailed asking if he had ant discounts and received a price list marked January Sale.

For £499 I am getting twin buggy, rain cover, cosy foot cover with window, sun shade and the under bugger storage bag. Think they call it ruck sack bag. The sale price then gives you for free the reclining toddler seat with rain cover, sun cover, mounting bar to put seat on.

I then paid £66 for one sleeping bag, one baby mattress and a bar which allows you to add a buggy board.

Free shipping on the lot in the sale.

When did you get your quote? Was it in January?

Ps The invoice showed full price on left and sale price on right. On that the toddler seat is as you said £200 plus extra for all the covers etc.

Thank you so much for posting this! I just ordered mine. I checked with them about import costs and apparently there is a chance of having to pay about £25 in VAT and £29 in import charges, but that not all customers end up having to pay this.

I got the single Everest buggy with reclining toddler seat and it is £499 including shipping.

Does anyone who has had one of these before know if the Phil and Teds cocoon would fit in the seat when fully reclined for a newborn?

i toyed with the single too and adding a buggy board but i have 20 month old twins plus a new born due so went for the double to be safe.

I would definitely have got the double in your shoes too! I have one DS who will be 27 months when #2 arrives, and I'm not even confident in his ability to manage with a buggy board on a full day out.

Very excited! This will be my first brand new buggy.

Thanks I checked the e-mail again and my darling hubby had written down the wrong info (full price) trying to be helpful.
I have my own small children (7&4) but am also a child minder and I will have 4 children under 3 (2.5, 24 mnths 14 mnths & 9 mnths) in a few months so am trying to get the best for me (physically and financially as I walk everywhere) and the most reassuring for parents so new is better than 2nd hand and the P&T brand is great for that.
I did consider the quad but the eldest is a really goodwalker now so am going to have buggy board for him - if I can get him on it!!

Yes I will be - I won't need it until May as that's when the mum of 2 of them goes back to work - so you'll have to let me know how you are getting on.:)

Oh I just need to decide what colour to go for - I've never been able to choose before as it's for normally get what ever is available being for work.

Which is least likely to fade do you think???

Thanks again everybody

I've gone for grape. It's quite a dark colour. Just a bit different to black!

Yea, I think the fav must be back. I wanted to order red but hubby said I had a pick a colour that wouldn't show the dirt, chocolate and spilt orange juice so grape was the funkiest I could go. All the others are lightish really. Blacks cool and resale good!!
