Builders for house extension in SW london

We are trying to find good reliable builders in the Wimbledon area to undertake a house extension. Does anyone have any good recommendations please?

Sorry forgot to say, if anyone has experience in what this project is likely to cost roughly would appreciate that. The extension is to be single story and would measure 6 x 7 meters with flat roof, 3 skylights and concrete floor with underfloor heating. Bifold doors to back opening onto garden 4.5 meters wide.

They were really excellent, worked really hard, finished early and slightly under budget. They weren't the cheapest quote we got but a lot cheaper than the most expensive.

We were very happy with the work ethic, they were tidy and reliable and turned up when they said they would!!

Hi, when did you want to start? Our builders are really good but I don't want to give out their details until mid July as I made that mistake with our last builders and they were a nightmare at the end because they had already started another job I had recommended them for .

Hi there,

I would like to recommend Porters Development (formerly Venford Construction). The easiest way to prove that I would recommend them is because I keep getting them in to do more work for me. It started with an extension but they have done more and more for me since then. No job it too small.

When I first got Adrian over to quote for the job, I made it expressly clear that we had a hard deadline as my parents were arriving for a long visit. It was quite tight but they worked every Saturday to made sure they finished on time.

Their attention to detail was amazing and their patience with me and my ever changing mind was admirable. At one point the foreman built us a temporary stud wall so that we could get a real idea of the space we had allowed for our tiny bathroom. I had been really concerned and he did it simply to reassure me.

I felt that every query, change and dispute (we had a few issues with our neighbours) was handled with professionalism and had a satisfactory outcome.

In the end we got exactly what we wanted.
