From the estate agent 'blah' -

Many of the elegant period features have been retained and in 1975 when bought by the present vendors' family the house was the subject of a comprehensive refurbishment programme with no expense spared including an abundant use of very fine oak joinery. It is in effect a time warp of the era with magnificent examples of pink and avocado bathrooms and a sublime melamine kitchen. The sitting room features a concealed bar with a concertinaed door which rotates into the room.

It's truely a thing of beauty!

Nice, apart from the vagina bath.

Not many photos for such a big house, I would question why there are so few. Are the other rooms worse?

I can't believe they didn't add a photo of the rotating bar - I mean, it's got a rotating bar!!! How fantastic is that??? I do like that the estate agent has tried to make it's "period features" a selling point.

Carpet in the bathroom...from the seventies...lovely. I would imagine it's nice and fresh!

I love that house! I could live with the seventies stuff, in fact, my parents' old bathroom was very similar to that.

Terrys - but why not? It's growing on me, I think when we win the Euromillions tonight we'll have to go have a look round... Grin

Apart from the bathroom, what's not to like? It's a beautiful house.

Gemma - it's a very nice part of the world, that house should be worth a lot more given it's location. I guess fanjo inspired baths, rotating bars and melemine kitchens aren't for everyone...

Gemma - for sale on the same road - although bit 'footballers wives' for me, think I prefer the 70s-tastic house.

and another one! (wonder if there's something going on in that road with three big houses for sale in the same street)

I think the estate agent has a great sense of humour!

The original original features are beautiful. It's a lovely house - MUCH nicer than the other two.

I think I'd have to keep the bathroom for a year or so to show to all my friends, then it would be time for something a bit more in keeping!

That house has great bones. it could be utterly utterly stunning.

If only. :(

DontmindifIdo , they are lovely, esp 2nd one, but a little show housey, I would go for the 70s one then you could do it up to your own taste.

How weird that three massive houses are for sale on the same road.

This has happened in the village next to ours but thats because the high speed rail link is ear marked to go through.

potters off to put euro millions ticket on for tonight.........
