Anyone used Victoria Plumb? Or recommendations for bathroom supplier?

Have looked at Bathstore. Anywhere else?

I've used both and had no problems. Loads of my friends have bought from bathstore with no problems. My parents used VP and there was an issue with the shower screen and VP replaced it no problems very quickly.

I have heard of people having problems with VP, but that wasn't our experience.

We recently ordered some bathroom accessories from Victoria Plumb - towel rail, glass shelf and loo roll holder - and was really disappointed with them. Both the shelf and towel rail were faulty when they arrived - and in order to secure replacements,I had to email various photos of the items to their customer service team, waited a week before gaining a response and then another week before they sent replacements. I wouldn't use them again tbh.

Hmm, that doesn't sound great.

We have found sinks that we like, but OMG who knew that loos were so expensive?

And the loo seats. I had 'they saw you coming' running through my head.

My parents used VP for a built in toilet/sink unit thing. Not my personal taste, but there were no problems with the order or the quality AFAIK

We've used both Bathstore and Victoria Plumb before. The VP stuff wasn't the best quality, but it was basically fine. There was a nick in the chrome on a tap and I asked for a replacement - sent one out without asking for the old one back, so now we have a spare that I will eBay when I get round to it.

Loo seats (unless you're having an odd-shaped loo) are pretty universal so don't feel obliged to buy theirs. A Wickes one is fine.

Is the quality not that great then?

The issue is really that I don't like the loos that go with the basins we have chosen. And the ones I do like are much more expensive.

Or maybe we should order the nicer loos without the £67 loo seats.

A real mixture - builder make good recommendations, and posh taps/ex-display posh sinks from ebay sellers. It depends how fussy you are on exactly what you want!

Oh you do have to get a good loo seat. We got a cheaper one and I regret it several times a day!

We are vv fussy. That is our problem.

DH has just said we have to get posh seats.

We are about £400 between cheap VP and what we would really like. The problem is that we are doing the whole house, and are on a v tight budget.

Cloakroom and bathroom (without shower/bath) comes in a £1140, which I think is ok.

Our builders were a bit sniffy, but I suspect that's at least partly because they didn't get the commission...

We used VP and I'd say the ceramic ware is good but taps etc not so good. Defo better than ikea tho - their bathrooms are rubbish
VP include loo seat with loo but it's not clear on website

I have always been pleased with Plumbworld.

If you put "clearance" into their search box you will often see some bargains.

VP delivery caused loads of problems - Twice! 2 days of waiting in only for the delivery to not arrive - found out it had never even been booked in due to a computer error!

Stuff we ordered from there was fine (though we should have bought a more expensive tap) but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion as the way my complaint was handled was very poor.

We got other stuff from Bathstore, Bathempire, The Shower Doctor & Plumbworld. No problems with any of them.

My friend used vp last month. She's had nothing but hassle - late delivery by weeks, half arrived then some more was missing, sink was cracked and toilet leaked once fitted.
All has been replaced at no extra cost and to be fair I believe they had good customer service but there was a lot of hassle. Looks great now though.

used VP last year for sinks, mirror cabinets, shower tray/screen, no problems, called them to check dimensions of a unit before ordering, they sent someone off to measure one and rang back.

used Plumbworld this year, no problems with shower enclosure and basic shower.

we also used Plumbnation for towel radiators and digital shower, great prices and again no hassle!

would use any 3 of these again.

Dissenting voice for Plumbworld here. They don't have a phone number and despite their promises they take ages to answer emails. They also take your money and only then tell you stuff is out of stock even when it's shown as in stock when you order. The reviews on their site are filtered; google 'Plumbworld complaints' and a different picture emerges. I found the same Grohe taps at my local independent for only £7 more.
I think it's a bit like Ikea: when it works it's fine but if there's a problem it's a nightmare. Personally I dislike not being able to pick up the phone and speak to suppliers.
