Nature takes care of it, I'm afraid!

Sex is supposed to help, as is fresh pineapple, long walks and curry. Though none of these made the slightest difference with DS who was still born nearly 3 weeks late.

For the record, I also tried reflexology, hot baths, travelling on a bumpy bus ride, giving DS a BJ(sorry TMI) and having a cervical sweep. Still nothing.

Curry and a long walk.

I saw a fab reflexologist who specialises in a technique to start you off. I went into labour the next day - yippeeee!

I think osteopaths may have a few tricks as well, but I very much doubt you'll find one who is willing to start you off.

Oh, and clary sage oil. Put it in an oil burner, and rub some on your tummy.

Good luck!!

Went to a loud outdoor rock gig - I was 4 days overdue. DS jiggled around like mad to the music and decided to come out the next day to get with the scene.

(He still loves to dance...)

I like to attribute ds's arrival (9 days early) to hot curries, ignoring the lack of scientific evidence . I made a Thai green curry on the Thursday, we visited friends on Friday and they made a real scorcher, then we had a takeaway curry on Saturday night. Two hours after that I had the first contraction, and ds was born early Sunday morning. He is 12 months old now and likes a curry himself!
