Anyone got a "feeling" about their baby's sex?

I've been thinking about this and would like a long running thread about people's feelings and guesses and what sex their baby turns out to be.
With DC1 DH was adamant it was a boy, I did have a preference to a girl but particular feeling about what we were going to have . . . We had a boy (I love him more than life and I am do glad he is who he is).
I am now 15 weeks pregnant with DC2, private gender scan booked for the 17th of this month, I now have a feeling it's a girl, and DH doesn't have a thought either way. DH thinks my feeling might be wishful thinking, but I have less of a preference this time and don't really mind what happens as long as baby is healthy.
Anybody else have a "feeling" that was right? Or even wrong?
And if you have a feeling now, but haven't found out yet, still let me know and we can update as and when we find out.

I was convinced I was having a boy and I did! Someone I work with pointed out that whenever I referred to the baby, while pregnant, I would always say him, he etc, I had no idea I was doing it!

My hunches were right both times (girl then boy!) but I never found out ahead of their birth. I based it all on old wives tales so clearly I just got lucky on my guesses !

I was definitely certain I was having a boy, and turns out I was right! He is a boy who is now 2 years old.

I was convinced last time I was having a boy and the baby was a girl. I had no feel sense this time but everyone is saying to me ‘it’s a boy, I just know/I can tell’. It’s actually another girl so they’re all wrong Grin

It’s a sex scan not a gender scan.

I was completely sure both times, and correct both times. It wasn't about preference, I just 'knew'.

I’m 12 weeks and already convinced it’s another little boy. We have a two year old son already. I’m not going to find out beforehand though so I’m in for a long wait to see!

I thought that most people would like a boy first (though not desperatel) and having had a boy then want a girl.
So the people who 'knew' the sex of their babies had a boy and then a girl.

I'm currently 18 weeks and had a private scan last week to find out the sex. I was convinced I would be told it is a boy as all my weird pregnancy dreams are about boys, old wives tale is that you are more sick with a girl (I've only been sick once), and a very scientific Facebook quiz said it would be a boy. We are having a girl Grin so my intuition was way off!

It’s a sex scan not a gender scan
There's always one. You can even see I wrote sex in the title. The scan I have booked and paid for is called a gender scan, is advertised as a gender scan, and is commonly known as a gender scan, stop being so pedantic.

It isn’t pedantry. A gender scan makes absolutely sense. And you have a 50/50 chance of guessing its sex correctly. So knock yourself out.

Not finding out but pretty sure it's a girl. Dc1 female DC2 male. This feels more like my first pregnancy did and they were very different. Not finding out though!

I'm 17 weeks and both me and DH feel like it's a boy! Which then makes me think it's going to be a girl Grin

I knew very early on my bump was a boy. I just really really knew!! And I was right...I say trust your instinct, a woman's knowledge of her body is a powerful thing..

DH and I were convinced we were having a boy for no other reason that a feeling and possibly wishful thinking. We were both surprised when our DD arrived - wouldn't change her for the world I absolutely love having a little girl (more than I ever expected I would).

I didn’t find out until my babies were born but was wrong in the sex I thought they were both times Grin

With my first I wasn't sure but I wanted a girl and had one. My second the pregnancy was so different, I was absolutely certain I was having a boy, it was another little girl. I even had them double check at the gender scan Grin
I have no idea how some people get worked up over calling it a gender scan either. I've only ever seen it on here.

I’m 15 weeks with DC2 as well OP. Is it weird that I don’t really have a sense of whether baby is a boy or a girl yet? So far my pregnancy is similar to when I was pregnant with DS... so I could go with boy? We’re not going to find out until delivery day so a long wait for me too. If the thread is still going in April/May, I’ll let you know!

Why?

I had such strong feelings both of mine were boys. Called them boys names. Not because I wanted a boy, I just really felt they were.

Both vodkas

WitchyMcWitchface, I agree with SoyDora, why? I had/have absolutely no preference with either pregnancy. Having DS, I think it would be lovely to have another boy and see them play & grow up together, but also think it would lovely to have a daughter and experience that.

I kind of think that whichever sex I have this time, I might need to go for DC3 to have the opposite! But I’m not having 3 children!

I guessed right with both of mine, no idea why.
Two completely opposite pregnancies and I was convinced something was catastrophically wrong with the middle pregnancy and I was right with that too sadly.

This is why I don't really have a preference this time, for the exact same reason. There will only be 20 months between them and I think 2 boys would have more in common and hopefully a friendship. But it would be nice to have a girl because I don't already have one.
