map here

England is nearly all blue therefore most of the English want a Conservative Govt.

Isn't it about time Scotland and Wales were left to govern and provide for themselves?

Problem solved

Yup. I am Scottish, living in the South East of England and believe that each country should govern themselves.

I am so proud of the English people. They are fantastic. We saw through the lies and the spin. We did, we got them out.

claig, you are going to be in for a huge disappointment if you think that the Conservative party is unencumbered by lies and spin

They can have them then. And they can pay for the greed and corruption of the city-state London.

Let them to it! They are welcome to have it and slave away to their lords and ladies.

Let us have ours.

tethersend, you're right. In 1997 I voted for Blair, I wanted the Tory liars out. In 5 years' time or sooner, I'll probably want this lot out. But for now, we have all succeeded in removing the current crop of arrant liars, blackguards and knaves. The English public deserve a pat on the back and should be very proud of themselves.

Fruitysunshine> I thought Scotland and Wales were part of Britain and not separate countries...well not yet.

Yes I agree, let them govern themselves.

They should all be totally independent and take no handouts from Whitehall.
They should set their own taxes and decide how to best spend the revenue.

Let them stand on their own feet and decide their own fate. Likewise they shouldn't have any say in England's affairs either.

Is this what the Scots want though?

Crystal123 - Scotland and Wales ARE separate countries, but part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and NI.

Perhaps while the politicians are deciding where their loyalties lie, mnetters should step into the breach, we'd have it sorted in a couple of hours between us

Crystal they have devolved government for a lot of issues, but are still funded by Whitehall and don't yet have true independence
