What a shambles - the worst possible outcome.

Right, looks as if we have a government which cannot govern. The most incompetent leader in the history of the Labour Party in opposition who will probably be propped up by the SNP who wants to break up the UK. Then if Mrs. may does resign there is the possibility of that dangerous loose cannon and egotistical idiot Boris Johnson being voted in. For those voters who somehow seem to be considering that this is some kind of a coalition, forget it. Coalitions work together and hung parliaments like this will hang us all.

So what will happen if a coalition isn't formed?

Surely Boris won't want the job now any more than he did straight after brexit? Less now than then I'd have thought

I agree OP. It's a complete shambles.

Completely agree, leaders on the EU must be wetting themselves laughing today.

I think if a coalition isn't formed, another election would be held.

I agree - Christ, we go into negotiation with the EU without credible government. It's pretty disastrous.

We won't be more than a year from another election

Is it even possible to form a coalition? It doesn't seem like any of the parties have the numbers to have a two party coalition to me. Can anyone explain if they can?

Report
StealthPolarBear · 09/06/2017 06:54

Double no i was thinking that none of the numbers really seem to work

Unless the coalition govt is just called Not-Labour Confused

AdalindSchade · 09/06/2017 06:55

It's not possible as things stand and the libdems won't go into another condem coalition.

I disagree. The worst possible outcome would have been a Tory win.

TM called a snap election knowing when Brexit talks would start, out of sheer self-aggrandising arrogance.

The worst outcome would have been her re-election

Who are dup anyway?

Surely con+dup is still not enough? 319 as things stand.

Stealth I'm glad it's not just me thinking that. It's a complete mess, what a disaster to be heading to Brexit negotiations with. How will anything get done? No one will agree on anything. We're basically going to waste 6-12 months with a government who can't do anything.

AdalindSchade · 09/06/2017 07:02

12 still to declare so 7 of them would need to go to Tory I guess it's possible

Thanks bar, oh no :(
Surely as a pp said the numbers still don't add up

Report
PickAChew · 09/06/2017 07:03

Nope. Worst possible outcome would have been an increased tory majority. There is more going on in the political arena than brexit.

Report
BarchesterFlowers · 09/06/2017 07:04

Only 7 left to declare - only thing possible is hung/coalition.
