Hi all. Just posted an update on my old thread here .

We're all doing well. Hoping for a discharge from hospital tomorrow or the day after. More info in the original thread.

Love to you all, and thanks for LOADS of well wishes. You really have all been very kind and the posts really helped Dee and I along in the last few days.

OMG am slapping myself for missing this. Where have I been again?
Many congratulations, I hope your two special lasses are coming on leaps and bounds and are back safely at home soonest.
Again happy hugs and baby fluffies

Just to let you all know I've got my girls back home !

The baby room is full of 'bits', Dee is unpacking her bag and all the gifts of nappies / teats / bottles etc. from the hospital !

Apparently all the nurses were popping into Dee's room all morning to have a peak at the cutey pie, and everyone went mad on the way out to the car cos she is soooo pretty, LOL !

Will catch up with everyone in a few days, and update the photos too. Right now, I am just going to stare at my babba.

If anyone missed the piccies in the long thread, they're here , and I'll update them during the next week.

Thanks again for all the well wishes.

WigWamBam Tue 12-Jul-05 16:59:30

Great news. Staring at the baby is good, if a little obsessive

Look after your two lovely ladies.

lou33 Tue 12-Jul-05 16:59:38

wonderful, enjoy your family

hub2dee Tue 12-Jul-05 17:09:34

Yep, here marketh the beginning of obsession. Thanks again for your pressie, WWB - I'll show it to Dee as soon as she feels the changing table 'battle station' area is under control !

Yep, first moments as a family... that's weird, Lou33, eh !

OK. Must go stare.

jessicaandbumpsmummy Tue 12-Jul-05 17:10:48

EXCELLENT! Look after yourselves and enjoy the staring!!!!

hub2dee Tue 12-Jul-05 20:23:35

daddy just got 60 mils (EBM) down her, no sweat.

She dozes on my shoulder like a little warm baby bear.

WigWamBam Tue 12-Jul-05 20:24:21

Awwwwwwwwwww! You sound as if you're enjoying her so much ... long may it continue!

Tissy Tue 12-Jul-05 20:25:26

60 ml? Blimey, that's more EBM than my dd ever took in one go. Well done!

MrsGordonRamsay Tue 12-Jul-05 20:27:33

Hub2 Dee is in lurve

Ner Ner Ner

Magscat Tue 12-Jul-05 20:28:02

Dozing on shoulder -Aaaah - I remember that.

Have you danced with her cuddled up on your shoulder yet? Makes all your old CDs sound fab again!

Glad you're enjoying her & love to Dee

hub2dee Tue 12-Jul-05 20:33:31

She's soooooo lovely and warm. I think many slightly prem / small babies are also often dozy / sleepy / very restful IYSWIM too.

She is so good (at the moment, LOL).

Long may it continue !

hub2dee Tue 12-Jul-05 20:34:02

Feeling a big lovefest I can tell you.

starlover Tue 12-Jul-05 20:36:53

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww i wish ds would cuddle up and doze on my shoulder still!

WigWamBam Tue 12-Jul-05 21:00:10

I'm going to have to stop looking at your threads, H2D ... I'm getting broody and that would never, ever do

hub2dee Tue 12-Jul-05 21:01:31

Janh Tue 12-Jul-05 21:04:30

Oh, hub, I'm so thrilled that you have them both at home! How marvellous - a family, as lou said

Very very happy for you all. Looking forward to new pics. XXX

hunkermunker Tue 12-Jul-05 21:06:14

Thank goodness I'm pregnant or I'd be super-broody!

Glad your family is home, and enjoy the staring - awwww at little warm bear

Janh Tue 12-Jul-05 21:16:46

I remember visiting a friend with a new baby, when I was getting a bit broody anyway, and sitting with her little warm bear on my shoulder beaming soppily...had a bear of my own 12 months later

hunkermunker Tue 12-Jul-05 21:28:15

JanH, I will studiously avoid all but ugly babies after this one is born in case I get the urge to procreate again

misdee Tue 12-Jul-05 21:29:31

i am feeling broody agfain, but no chance !!!

vickiyumyum Tue 12-Jul-05 21:45:55

ahh well done hub, you make sure that you all rest up though, the changing station will soon become a bombsite anyway after a few nappy changes as long as you wipeup as you go it'll be fine.
you got it all beeswaxed then!

make the most of it and keep up the good work, a fathers love for his daughter never stops, my dad still worries about me 29 years later! and for the record imo a fathers love/bond is the best thing in the world!

hub2dee Tue 12-Jul-05 22:14:26

vickiyumyum... well, we nearly got it done... my friend Ricky Danish-oiled the changing station but the wood then looked much to new and shiny, so my dad sanded it all back to wood and we're going to beeswax (without Danish oil) tomorrow !

So glad I am spreading broody vibes, LOL.

hub2dee's patented baby dust, eh....

Photos coming.... maybe after I SLEEP !
