When its sunny ike this I build it into thw morning routine for DD (2.5 yrs) and DS (7 mths). Especially when they are babies, their skin is so sensitive to the sun. Hat too.

Slapped factor 60 on DS whilst out in Cyprus a couple of weeks ago and his skin colour didn't change at all, so must work really well.

If you're at all considering it I would use it - their skin is so sensitive it's better to be safe than sorry. Although I only used it if they had shorts or a t-shirt on - very rarely on just their face iykwim!

If DD is going to go red abywhere it would be on her cheeks and nose, and she has quite olivey skin, so I defo put it on theuir faces.

get some lotion made for babies, I use soltan on ds, seems pretty good. He hasn't got burnt, or even pink, and it hasn't bothered his skin even though he's usually really sensitive to lotions and creams. you can get burnt even when it's not sunny so I put suncream on ds everyday if he's going to be outside.

I've got some Soltan from Boots (was on a buy one get one free offer a couple of weeks ago - bargain as they are a tenner each - offer may still be on).

If we are going out in the sun I slap some on dd (8 months) - she is still lovely and pale!

I just put it anywhere they may slightly get sun. DS is not 19mths and i am going to look for a dry spray for his head as he hates hats..lol

sorry - I should add that the reason I didn't put it solely on their faces was because they always had large sunhats on. And I did put it on their faces when it was hot.
