Do you use conditioner? I find that helps my hair be less static.

They don't like teatree oil shampoo or medicated shampoo.

I have a dd with very fine static hair too so would love to hear any advice.

Glad to hear other mums are facing the same and that i am not that vain (am i).

I thought nits only liked clean hair so thought if i don't wash her's that often..so far worked.

Will try the spray, have the tangle free shampoo for fine hair.

Can't tie it up as she has a bob cut, plus has only just let me tie it up for school let alone night time.

Have just brought conditioner so will try that.
It is cute but she gets shocks from it too, plus hair stickes to the seats sofa poor thing on her face,

Thank you anyway keep on if you have any other advice.xx

I've always heard that nits only like clean hair AND it's all over the info we give out. Like everyone else though I've recently heard it's rubbish and they're not fussy who they go to.

Also heard that when boys reach adolesence they are much less likely to get them - due to the nit's dislike of testosterone.

Is this true? Or am I hearing a load of baloney?

Nits like human blood! They don't care in the slightest if the head it is in is clean or dirty. The clean heads myth was put about to make people feel less embarased about having them and more likely to own up to the school, so they can notify other parents.

Sorry, the clean head thing is a load of cobblers!

rub a sheet of bounce on her head! And it will smell nice

This could be a load of old cobblers, but try putting her wrists under cold running water. I can't remember who told me, or even if I dreamt it(!), but apparently this helps remove static from the body..? HTH

Sorry about the nits thing thats got started, i don't think nits is a dirty thing, the other reason why i don't do dd's hair more than once the week is coz the neighbours think we are drowning her.. she hates hair washes.

I got some anti static spray and that seems to work. The cold water mmmmmmmmmmm dd always has her hands in cold water can't be asked to run the hot tap.

thank you anyway.
