My sister was a total Cure-Head. She had terrible split ends from all the back-combing.

Oh my god I have dressed in black, just like the good old days It's just lucky for my neighbours that I no longer own a black eyeliner or they'd be getting one hell of a shock when I go out in a bit!!

Why did no one warn me that it's Goth Tuesday?

I do love The Cure when they're jolly or daft or romantic. This is one of my favourites.

Loved them too. I got 17 Seconds (was that it's name?) for Christmas one year. Was listening to it in gloomy teenage angst one day and my dad wandered in and asked what it was. I told him and he said....you'll like this...'sounds more like The Symptoms'....

Oh how I didn't laugh. Being a teenage misery guts who took myself far too seriously.

orm 17 seconds was a fab album
I loved this noolmusic.com/myspace_videos/the_cure_-_a_forest.php and frequently used to inflict it on everyone at lunchtimes in the sixth form centre

i wasn't into any other goth bands at all though.. i wonder why that is...

In between days is my favourite. I wasn't a big fan at the time of their music but they have stood the test of time.
Of course I'm an old git now thinking most music these days just doesn't match up!!

"i wasn't into any other goth bands at all though.. i wonder why that is..."

Because they were all shit?! Sorry Goths.

The Cure had a sense of humour and playfulness amongst the angst which stood them apart.

they have an incredible back-catalogue
unfortunately i only have the albums on vinyl and am too tight to fork out again for mp3s

I htink Disintegration was the best album for wallowing about in teenaged angst to...
