I hope she gets banned as this is her second offence.

I do lippy sometimes, but only at junctions! My lipstick is permanantly in my bag so I don't put that on at the same time as the rest.

Never mind the make-up - I am still staggered at the large number of motorists yapping on their mobile 'phones. The legislation recently introduced has done nothing to discourage and prevent this dangerous practice, it really does incense me. Rant over.

drew up at lights recently where yet another (man) was on phone while driving...he hadn't noticed the police car next to him Grin

i hate being stuck behind someone on a mobile. They slow right down and weave all over the bloody place. You can SEE that mobile talking affects driving.

sparklymieow · 09/03/2006 10:50

I saw someone on their mobile the other day, was waiting at the roundabout but because he couldn't indicate which way he was going, I had to wait till I knew what way he was going Angry

In a (very busy) Tesco carpark, a man with his approx 10yo son on his lap, son steering the car (a bmw, what else?) while daddy did pedals. Very stupid idea with so many other idiots reversing and parking etc.

Seen a lorry driver reading a newspaper with both hands while driving on motorway. mobile phone users are the worst though. And everyone does it it seems.

They were talking about this on the Wright Stuff - 71% of viewers had no sympathy for her, but Wrighty and Lowri Turnet did Shock. The woman in question also has a conviction for drink driving...perhaps now she'll smarten up her act.

Have also seen the drivers on the mobiles, the ones reading maps, kids jumping about in the back with no seat belts on. I'm surprised sometimes that there aren't more than 3000 people killed on the roads the way that some idiots drive, sadly.

no indicators
nothing

Neither Ian Wright or Lowri Turner are reknowned for their brain power so them sticking up for this stupid woman does not suprise me at all.

today I had a woman double parked by the school decided to open her car door driver side on to the on coming traffic and got her child. I was so shocked and I had to slam on the brakes out quickly, she then started shouting swear words at me. Can you believe this. LARSXX

I can well believe it. There is some incredible stupidity out there.

Lovely..not only was she prepared to put her child's life in danger, but she was happy to swear in front of them, too. Classy bird.

DH and I were driving on the m'way one evening when we passed a man driving a mini bus who was clearly drifting asleep. There wasn't much traffic and we were wary as we overtook him as he was in the middle lane but veering over to the other two. DH was driving so I had a good look (it was M1 so lit) He just looked asleep.
The worst thing was that the minibus was full of
disabled adults and another sleeping woman in the front.
We flashed them from behind, and beeped 2 or 3 times as we passed. In retrospect we should have phoned the police but didn't. I've always hoped that they all got home safely. Blush

Dh was once overtaken on the M1 by a middle-aged bloke in a BMW who was shaving while talking on his mobile - and not hands free. Must have been steering with his knees.
Dh was doing (ahem)somewhat over 90 so god only knows how fast the other bloke was going.

OK I can't help it, I have to permit myself a bitchy observation - the silly young trollope needs all the make up she can get with those ordinary looks, because her brains aren't going to make her fortune are they.

Pixiefish · 09/03/2006 23:40

some elements of the media will turn her into a 'celebrity' now though. Who want to bet that she'll be on Celebrity BB next year???

It's a blinkin disgrace that this is happening btw- she could have killed someone
