Afternoon all

Apologies if spelling mistakes, grabbing two minutes whilst eating sandwich. Had a great day yesterday, spent all day shopping, bought 4 pairs of shoes (and DH was with me!!) a top and some trousers, DD got a new swim bag and a pair of shoes and DH got nothing (his choice) Then DD and DH went to DDs first swimming lesson. Because of her graxed thumb she didn't want to go, was wailing in the car and then hanging onto door jarm for dear life at one point lovely it when she got in there.

OFM I do admire you with 6 and a dog, I find it hard keeping tabs on one sometimes although your post did make me chuckle

JaJas welcome - we just point our lists and then come back when ever (Later in the evening or a couple of times a day) and update - whatever suits you really. Do look at the links posted though, they do help to focus you.

Jas and grouchy welcome back

Well I have taken DD to nursery, been to do shopping and been to pick up a parcel. I have just come back from gym where my PT session today was interval running around the local park - it was good and the furthest I have run so far but I have a pain in my knee so hoping i've not pushed myself too far. Just eating lunch then off to do reading volunteer work before picking DD up giving her tea and then off to governor meeting - Luckily its the busiest day I've got so after today I can take things a little slower.

To Do list

  • Washing x 3
  • Unpack the 4 parcels from sorting office - Again we were in, I'm not sure our postman knocks on saturdays
  • reading volunteer
  • DD back from nursery
  • May take DD to park if it stays nice
  • Whats for tea - Have brought a chicken but may cook that later as don't think i've have time to do other bits - maybe whatevers in freezer
  • read through governor notes from tonights meeting
  • governors meeting
  • hoover lounge
  • put away washing piles from weekend
  • put away purchases from weekend - currently in a pile on hall floor (I did take then out of their carriers so it is a neat pile)

Right best move - BBL

Hello all,

kitchen is tidyish, and kids bedrooms, so I suppose that's something, but otherwise...

OFM your story reminded me of the time my neighbour rang the doorbell disapprovingly to tell me my children were climbing in and ut of the livingroom windows, and did I know? I'm sure you cheered everyone in the cul de sac up!

I'm really getting bogged down here, but I have achieved something this weekend namely

Dh sent me off to buy some NEW CLOTHES!!!!my money, his time on Sat afternoon, so now trying to make sure I don't do any housework in them
I am also back on DIET, so that the new jeans continue to fit

Loft is full to bursting with cr**p, retrieved a few more clothes I can now fit into, but otherwise I just desperately need my brother to have a baby and take all the baby stuff and lovely toys AWAY.

Also have written First Communion party envelopes, although dd wrote invites last week, the thought of tidying/revamping garden and house for large exuberant but genteel party fills me with absolute dread, (ah well nt till June 6th).

Ds1 went to Harry Potter Sleepover with Cubs on Sat(consisted of watching 5 films in Scout Hut and some themed games) He loved it but was in a FOUL mood the next day due to tiredness, reduced me to tears in church etc etc. Next time I hope they do something a bit more windswept

Grouchy and Jas and Jajas hope you are back in swing, I am certainly only clinging onto wreckage, trying to get essentials operating smoothly at moment.

Hi everyone

Dyls- can't believe someone stole your washing line.. crazy!

Well i had loads to do today.. the whole place from top to bottom but as my DD wouldn't go to sleep at her bedtime last night woke up still tired.. resulted in the silly decision to not take her to nursery until the afternoon hoping she would have a morning nap.. of course she wouldn't and instaed I had 2 little ones messing up even more! But when i did get her there i managed to nip to buy some meat on the way home and now all in the slow cooker for tea.

As for the housework.. i managed to get most things done so far but had to cut corners a bit.. spot clean the hard floors instead of proper mop etc.

However all in good order again now... just a pile of ironing when the little ones go to bed tonight.

Housework is a thankless job.. people only notice when it isn't done!

Welcome Jaja.. have you looked on the flylady site to start you off?

Hi ladies
Welcome mickeylee and jajas how lovely to see new faces. Mickeylee you sound super organised!
Hi to all
I am surviving, looking more like Mrs Blobby by the day and still failing to stop myself drinking the Ribena ... This baby will be purple! I am already in desperate need of maternity clothes, unfortunately I have grown a dress size with each pregnancy/baby - started a size 8 now I'm a 12-14 so my maternity clothes don't really fit from DS, and the ones from DD which were 10 -12 have been lent out to various places, hoping for some back in the next week as I am reduced to two pairs of trousers! Really don't have the funds to buy more atm, especially if Mr CamClegg is going to cut my child tax credit (which would buy one pair of maternity jeans per month but is still welcome!)
Rant over

Love to all and will try to get up to speed!

Evening all

managed all off my list exceot picking up parcel- didn't get to the sorting office in time- try again tomorrow! or going to my friends, she got held up on her way there and I didn't have time to wait as grandad was coming to collect ds for me.

Ds is staying at grandparents so that grandad can drop him at school for me in the morning as I have an interview I need ot be at for 8.30 am and it is 45 min drive away. Its my very last attempt at gaining a place for GTP, I don't hold out much hope as they want someone with lots of school experience, but if you don't try you don't get!

Wendy, maternity clothes are very expensive arent they!

DylS Did you accept your uni place in case you don't get GTP? - Good luck for tomorrow.

I'm just back from governors meeting and first time I have sat down all day - My one hour reading volunteer session turned into a two hour one so didn't get the jobs done that i'd earmarked for then but read to quite a few children and that did get me back into the flow so was good in other ways and saved me having to go back for DD as I was already at school

Mickeylee - Good morning and good luck with the rest of your list.

DH went to the shop and fetched me some alcohol last night to chill me out and then we had an early night as I think the late nights are catching up on us both and making us moody - It was bliss!!

I don't have a day of meetings today yay so should be a little more calm. Jobs to do

  • Washing x3 Doing
  • Hoover lounge
  • Cook chicken for tea Done
  • Write two book reviews for tonights uni prep night
  • File other uni prep stuff done over last few weeks
  • Package up a new top that I've bought that I already have in the same colour (Too obsessed with colours since my colour day) - And take to post office
  • Replace top with another colour (hehe) don't tell DH
  • Sign language notes for tomorrows session
  • Put away washing pile
  • Sort out ballet, swimming and gym bags from under stairs need somewhere better to put them
  • Menu plan for next few weeks to try and focus my weight loss efforts - Have printed out some blank templates so now just need to go through weight watchers books to find something to cook each night
  • Cook rest of tea - Chicken dinner in 3 stages tonight as DD needs to each early, I need to eat after Weigh in (chick Dinner weighs alot ) and DH after gym
  • Weigh in (cross your fingers)
  • Friend round tonight for maths test paper to check maths knowledge. We will both look like this all night
  • Clean out fridge
  • Shops for essentials
  • Tidy bedroom where DD knocked over a cup of blackcurrent juice yesterday and DH 'tried' to clean it up
