Another breezy early start here
Kids have played happily for an hour and half in garden with soft toys, ds1 was reading moomins, now they are watching Richard Hammond oh well
but I've
made breakfast muffins
watered garden for 30 mins
cleaned and decrumbed kitchen completely
felt in good spirits

Now going to wake dh up, get dressed
and go to fete setup

Morning Swan.

Quiet day at home today i think.
DD1's eyes are looking better.
DD2 wasn't sick from about 11 yesterday and fine all night. But had some water when she woke up and then was sick. Not sure whether to let her eat or not? Maybe she drank too much on an empty tummy? She ate a biscuit yesterday afternoon.

crikey swan I've had a cup of tea....

Breakfast muffins... [thud]

MOrning tort I'd let her have a teaspoon of water every 30 mins or so just to be safe

House smells like a flower shop (had 27 of dh;s workmates over for a BBQ yesterday)also have yummy chocolates to scoff share.

Have to:
repatriate chairs from garden
Sort recycling (bottles still in garden)
Unload d/w and reload
Cull leftover salads
Have a bacon sandwich
Phone MIL for return of DC's
Water garden (as no rain YAY!) yesterday
cLEAN kitchen
Clean bar/pool room

Morning All

I find that the weekend is catch up time. So far I have

Tidied the kitchen from DH's cookery last night
Loaded DW and run
Emptied WM and sort for drying
Peg out
Clean hob
Deep clean the oven (bottom and shelves still soaking in the bath
Fed the birds
Clean the loo

Got to see the bank manager today, grab some shopping, go to Elland Road for friendly tickets then my list is

Sweep and mop floors
Clean ALL windows
Clean bathroom

Tum-te-tum

Had a text from my mother (we have a strained relationship), she has had to put one of her old cats to sleep and, well, she just doesn't do reality very well and....It's not going to be pretty. I am sympathetic but there is an urge to yell 'calm down and carry on'

Have hung 2 loads of washing out.
DD2 has been sick again. She had a plain biscuit! She is crying because she is hungry. I hate them being ill. Happens so rarely that i am lost what to do with her.

On a happy note, benefits have agreed to budgetting loan. So it looks like we may get a holiday.

Prof Assuming your creations aren't crap then i would happily recieve something homemade. Makes it a thoughtful gift rather than any old bought tat.

DD2 has eaten a banana nearly an hour ago and no sign of it lol! Hopefully a good sign. She is asleep again now though.

Tortoise · 27/06/2009 15:57

DD2 has had at least 2hrs sleep and has woken up bright and happy. Now eating toast.

I have been emptying and cleaning out pool. It is re-filling now.

holding off on watering garden as its just started thundering and there are definate rainclouds

prof If your jewellry is as good as your cake decorating skills I think you'll be fine.

Brill news about the hol tort!

Prof, why don't you make a selection of jewellery then have an evening with a few friends during which they can buy what they like? That will give you an idea of what is popular and what is not. You could even take commissions!! One of my friends does this. She is brill. It's lovely to have a completely original piece of jewellery.

You are all sounding very busy. I have done absolutely nothing today

And I can't be bothered to move my backside so am going to just carry on doing nothing around the house. Going to read my book now. So there!

evenign all

the wedding yesterday was the nicest one I've ever been to - and probably cost the least, such a beautiful celebration of two wonderful people, I cried buckets

prof my parents bought me a silver cast willow bracelet for my birthday, tis beautiful, if I received a gift like that from a friend I would be delighted. Amber is very nice for red-heads and also green

grouchy I had a lovely time with you and ds, thank you

had long long lie in today whilst finishing book and trying to get over this damn cold

done

bed made
wet washing hung up
washing up done
90% of kitchen surfaces and small appliances cleaned
dw and wm fronts wiped down
info transferred to new organised mum diary - which for the first year I don't really like, am annoyed that they have removed the budget pages and things don't seem to be in a logical place
been to mum's to water garden/plants and shut curtains
played footbal with dp and ds
went to sainsbos

will make tea in a bit and water garden and then I think I'm done for the day

DONE

All downstairs floors swept, vacced and mopped
All windows cleaned

Plants watered
Birds fed (again, hungry feathery friends)
washing brought in.
DW loaded and running

Well, DD2 did seem better. She had toast at 4.30ish.
She was just about to have a little bit of pasta and some peas when she was sick again.
WTF is going on? Now i really don't know what to do!

She is crying because she wants food.

Report
swanriver · 27/06/2009 19:27

Feeling v. grateful fete is over, but it was great - dh looked after dcs for whole day solidly so that I could help. What fun it is making money - must do it more often

Sagacious, What did you serve for your big bbq - were you cooking for days before? Full of admiration for those who entertain large nos. Bottles in garden sounds highly promising.

Now wilting, dcs in bath, just cooked some high tea new pots and boiled eggs which they've eaten. Tomorrow will be sublimely peaceful.

grouchy I agree
tort wait 1 hour from the last time she was sick and then try a small amount of plain food. Wait 1 hour before any liquid too and then only very very small sips. If she's still being sick in a few hours I would call NHS direct because she could easily become dehydrated

help over here apprciated

swanriver · 27/06/2009 19:35

I think you just have to give her the chance to rest her stomach, and not feed her anything which she has to digest.
I think when dd last had a vomiting bug, she didn't even drink much for 24 hours. Then I gave her things like white rice and flat cocacola (which is meant to be a bit like diarolyte)

Thanks wolf and swan.
She has flat lemonade (can't stand them having coke .)
I have rich tea biscuits, bananas, toast. What else can she eat that is plain?

She said She wants to someone else to catch her bug cos otherwise she will have it forever!
