Weekend Fly - Family time

Hmm Typed a long post and now it has gone.

I have had a nice lie thanks to DH

We only had 3 hardy trick or treaters, which was good as they scared DS1 I am not sure I actually like the message of halloween [bar humbug emotion]. I am much happier using it as an end of the autumn harvest type thing, rather than a give me sweets or I will do something bad - not really the message I want for my boys.

We are off to York for the day, both the boys have colds but seen on fine form, so not much flying.

Oh and I also woke to the smell of fresh coffee, as DH had put the coffee perculator on - yummy

Hi Madhouse, thanks for your encouragement on the other thread. It's my DS's 4th birthday party tomorrow so I can't have a family day today unfortunately! Hope York is good, did you go to the Railway museum?

Breakfast (cheers DH)
Get Ed's footy kit ready (sock loss noted)
Empty Ed's grundy drawer (PJ's not in pairs grr, another task)
Encourage Ed to get ready for footy training
Take him to the playing field
90 mins touchline support duties with DH
Home, Strip Ed (V V V muddy)
Load WM and run
Put him in the shower
Sort through DH's grundy drawers (No Ed footy socks )
Down with a drying Ed
Clean out Cat cellar
Reline with paper and sawdust
Soiled litter to grey bin
Sweep kitchen floor (V mucky and floury)
Mop kitchen
Mop front room

TO DO

Put downstairs furniture back
dust bedroom
Tidy up dry washing
Ironing
sock and PJ round up

TMH hope York was lovely

Hello everyone, you lot are a bit inspirational! This morning i have baked DS's birthday cake, made soup for lunch, made choc crispie buns for party, washed up several times, sorted some stuff for party. Now off to make 60 fairy cakes (we are having fairy cake decorating at the party!)

at the york convention.. I grew up in yorkshire and would love to have a day out in york!

good flying here today, had a jewellery party here this morning so the house was gleaming by 9.30am

now it is just about not letting it get trashed through the day

off out to big party tonight.. got to go and change the spare bed so my sister (babysitting) has somewhere to sleep.

Hope you all have a great day and thanks Anne for your clue - I have been wondering who you are EVery time I see your posts.

Hi all (and welcome back trinity and welcome wendy)

I have lovely shiny pretty gorgeous amtico flooring in the bathroom and ensuite ... I keep making excuses to come and gaze adoringly at it.

I am SO sad

Had a fab night trick or treating last night (dc's thoroughly overexited)and then back to a friends for a party and some leathal homebrew.

My head was a bit tender this morning

Went out for a walk in the woods (MIL came too my good deed for the day) and we stopped off at the village pub for a pint (me/dh/mil) and froot shoot for dc's (I felt it my MN duty to order them )

Its cold and blowly around here so feeling very wintery so have started planning christmas (I'm sure ruby started about six months ago so I'd better catch up fast )

Have a fab weekend

sag x

Howdy Doody

Welcome back trinity

Hi to wendy saga your day sounds lovely...

I've been food shopping around Morrisons...bought some stack boxes and have sorted out the landing cupboard. I have just finished listing some things for Freecycle.

All the halloween decs are now down and stored away for next year.
Christmas next!

I'm determined to beat the clutter and sort all the cupboards out once and for all. Both my big cupboards saty tidy for all of a day before they are un-enterable again!

Anyhoo...I can hear the kids fighting so I'd better go and shout a bit

My DD1 is off to a halloween/bonfire party this evening with one of her friends. DS and DD2 are having a DVD at home (as they weren't invited) Star Wars I fear!

Evening all

I had a fab day in York - I think it is one of my favorite places in the whole world. The boys had so much fun counting and chaceing the grey sqiggles in the museum gardens and we had a nice walk on the walls and by the river. Topped off with a new pair of PJ's (me)

SO I am all for a Northern Flyers day at York - it would be great. We could even save up and have afternoon tea in Bettys

tmh I love bettys I would not even need my arm twisting to go for afternoon tea. I love york, I take my mum on the first day of the st nicholas fair every year, that's when christmas starts for me.

Second that even though I am gatecrashing your thread . I love Betty's it's just wonderful as is York.
I have decorated my number 4 birthday cake, cleaned out behind the fridge which was horrible and done some freecycling from some decluttering.
Lots to do tomorrow for birthday party - i'm off to print off the lists and instruction sheets for the adult helpers!

Half past what hour!

Just got into bed. Chose to clean up after the Swedish Chef had evidently visited the kitchen to make the evening meal. Ended up cleaning out the deep fryer and putting a white load in the wm and a load in the dw and td. FLYing does things to you, I can't leave things until the morning when I know they can be done before bedtime.

I found the socks and shirts (yay!) and I did my to do list. Just haveto find my specs now

See y'all tomorrow

Morning all

I've been up with the kids since about 6.30! The clocks moving seem to have scuppered any routine they were in.

Nothing exciting to do today so just the usual sunday stuff.

Oh and just a note to anyone with a cat....

Do not let them anywhere near glowsticks! You know the ones that come in a tube and you bend them to start them glowing....I bought a couple of tubes of sticks for the kids to have at halloween. Great fun for the kids, but DD1 decided to play with the cat with one. She was wiggling it and the cat pounced on it and bit it. The contents of the tube leaked out (making the carpet glow!!) but the cat went absolutely potty! She was jumping all over the place and started foaming at the mouth. I had to wrap her in a towel (to prevent her scratching my eyes out) and literally wash her mouth out.
Very fearful that she had been poisoned I was ready to whip her to the vet, but luckily I think she only ate a bit and the mouth washing did the trick! She is fine again now.
DD1 was very upset and kept asking if God was cross with her! Obviously neither the cat nor DD1 knew that was going to happen so she was cuddled better

But anyway...they are a bit hazadous if you're not careful!

Anyway...I'm off to eat a bagel

Luda That sounds very scary regarding the cat - glad all are better

Grouchy I know the feeling

Well is is raining like mad, so that has put paid to the sunday walk as it is showing no signs of stopping.

DS1 was up at an ungodly hour again

DH is having his lie in today and I am trying to keep the monsters quite.

Wendy Hope you have a good day and that sounds a bit organised re the printed list for grown up helpers
