Morning all

I cleaned the hamster and the fish tank last night so am feeling smug this morning.

EHM If you have sky you can get all the regional versions of bbc1, but I don't know if you have other freeview or cable.

Skribble I don't work (You really can't count two hours a day making cakes and sandwich fillings) but I know other flyers do so hopefully someone will be able to help you. I think you have to have a very basic quick routine for before /after work each day, and have half/a whole day when you are off catching up.

Morning Jas and welcome popsycal

I need to do some basics today as I didn't really do anything much yesterday. The friend who came to play yesterday was better than usual so the house wasn't left too trashed [relief emotion], mind you, the kids are lively this morning so the place is getting trashed now!

I have to plant some plants in the garden today too (we bought them before we went on holiday, I'm amazed they've survived in their pots so long)it's not raining yet so I'm going to get the kids helping and get that job done first thing after brekkie.

The piles of paper and God-knows-what are building up again so I need to find time to deal with them too - if it rains again later I'll stick a film on for the kids and I can sort it while I watch with them.

Have a good day all

I've previewed so can't check who started the thread but thanks to Jas or whoever did it today.

Jas I hope you and the los are getting better now.

Skribble I work Mon - Weds, approx school hours. I find it hard. I'm not a proper FLYer; I just use this thread for motivation (and of course for the friendship side of things which is important to me). I do intend to get more into the FLYing side of it but not yet.

Hi to popsycal who is one of my favourite MNers as she helped me once when she didn't know me from Adam.

julez I'm from the valleys but now live in mid Wales, not far from luda. I had a headache yesterday and didn't take tablets either which was silly of me. Luckily I'm on a no-wine-for-the-rest-of-July drive so I didn't make the situation worse and I got better in the evening.

Can I put in a request, please, that no-one says anything less than 100% complimentary about my lovely Derek? I get ribbed mercilessly by work colleagues who think I like wet-behind-the-ears etc men. I had a pic of Ben Fogle by my desk in order to show a work colleague what he looked like (because I used to say how lovely he was) and someone in work put it on the noticeboard behind my desk (with a cupid arrow and my name or somesuch) where we have all the figures of achievement for that working period. And I didn't notice for hours!

I have a hair appointment at 11.30am today so I'm going to strip the beds, do a bit of hoovering so that the downstairs is finished and then come back to say I've done it. I think I need to do it in small chunks today.

Morning

Hello to Popsycal

Good luck in the garden shouldbe...it is still lashing it down here [fed up]
I wanted to get out to the beach or somewhere but its just so wet!

jas cake making...and sandwich fillings...yum! Do you make them to sell? I bet your house smells soooooo yummy!

julez hope the head gets better...nothing worse than a headache

I'm attempting to light a fire...which isn't going too well. I don't have any fire lighters so I've just chucked a load of paper at it

Have decided to sort the kids toys out today. It is DD2's B'day next week, and I'd like to have a clear out before yet more toys arrive! There are some toys she just doesn't play with anymore, and as the other 2 are way beyond them too, I might as well sort them out.

simply I'm going to need to have a link to a picture of Derek please

Luda just heard from my brother that it's raining there quite nice here at the moment. It's the Food Fair at the University campus tomorrow and he's thinking it'll be a wash-out. We came to Wales for it last year, it was fun - go along if the weather's OK. We're still hoping to visit at some point in Aug but haven't managed to confirm when - we keep hoping the weather will improve...

Better get on - kids are in the garden already so I ought to be out there doing my stuff. Need to get it tidied up ready for the party next week (weather permitting!)

is Ben Fogle the chap who presents that zoo programme? I have to google him now as I can't quite place him....

Ben.....ah yes, he is quite sweet isn't he. The gentle giant type.

I have to say I like the dark, rugged type personally...

Johnny Depp, andGeorge

Oh and him don't know his name but he is in Fall Out Boy, and is the absolute double of my DH!

Doe any of your kids, or have any of your kids ever had a liking for baby wipes? Ellie always tries to suck/bite baby wipes when I cleaning her face/ bottom.I have a fight on my hands to get the wipes out of her little mitt. Is the odd or normal for a child of her age(14 months)It is only my lo,should I ignore?

EHM I wouldn't worry about the bay wipe fetish, I am sure it will pass. My DD2 ocassionally chews on them too. I always thought it might be because they are cool and moist, and she has not long finished teething.
