What would you diagnose from these symptoms?

Disclaimer-I know you can't diagnose me over the internet but just curious.
(Have consulted GP who is looking into this).

  1. FATIGUE- constant and has been for years. If I exert myself am wiped out the following day.
  2. Cold hands-even when I'm in a warm place and cold enough so that I can't type or use my hands properly.
  3. Pain- in my right shoulder, arm, and hand. This started about a year ago, seemed to improve but is now back with a vengeance. I'm taking Gabapentin for this. Left side is pain free.
  4. Feeling of a tight band around my chest. Had this for several weeks and was prescribed Lanzoprazole. Stopped taking them after a while because it went.
  5. POOR MEMORY- struggling to remember what I was going to do, easily distracted and sometimes struggle for the word I want to say.
  6. Feeling of weakness on right side.
  7. Pain in right hip and knee.

These are the main things that are bothering me. I've had endless blood tests for thyroid, iron etc which have all been clear. Family history of fibromyalgia.
Thanks for reading if you've got this far. 😊

Thanks for replies.
According to blood tests Thyroid ok.
I've had low Vit D before and taken prescribed supplements. GP says it's now at an acceptable level but I still take a daily supplement that's not such a high dose.

My thyroid levels are apparently fine according to the GP, but I have several of your symptoms and I know its not fine. That's from years of experience, though. Other than that - possibly MS?

Cold hands - Raynauds.

Which with your other symptoms of fatigue and joint pains would make it worth testing for other associated rheumatological conditions such as rheumatoid, SLE or mixed connective tissue disorder.

how old? 43- feel about 90!
I'm not sure if I've had calcium or B12 checked- would I have to ask for these specifically?
GP has based blood tests mainly on me being tired all the time but I'm sure she's tested for RA too.

I have lupus and seem to have my major joint issues down one side... the fatigue indigestion memory issues etc might be actually caused by the Gabapentin...my sister takes it and is foggy and knackered all the time with it.

I hope you figure it all out soon Thanksnothing worse than feeling horrid and having no explanation

Littlecandle sorry to hear that ☹ It's awful to have symptoms and not be able to find out the reason why.

Just to be confusing, you can still have RA with a negative rheumatoid factor. Or you may have one or the more hard to test rheumatology diagnoses like mixed connective tissue or SLE.

Lyme disease

This is a co prehensile list of symptoms which can vary person to person and wax and wane. You do not need to recall being bitten by a tick as they can be the size of a poppy seed and nearly 50% don't result in the Lyme bullseye rash.

Might be worth asking the doctor for a test (although these are also unreliable)

Good luck!

Symptoms
Lyme disease symptoms can appear quickly or gradually over time, and they are incredibly varied and can wax and wane. The first physical signs of Lyme infection are often flu-like symptoms – sore throat, headaches, congestion, stiffness, etc. – so many people, including doctors, dismiss the symptoms as the flu or the common cold.
During its nymph stage, a tick is only about the size of a period on a sentence. Many people are infected by nymph ticks, but don’t suspect Lyme disease because they don’t recall being bitten. In fact, 50% of people infected don’t remember being bitten and less than 50% of people will get any over-emphasized rash.

My husband had hyperparathyroidism and a lot of these symtoms match up - get your calcuim levels checked via a blood test.

Some of the symtoms also match up with gallstones, especially the tight chest and shoulder pains.
