please could you help the panranoid, recovering emetophobe

dh is not here to ask

the thing is I took them battered haggis out of the oven and had to sort the dcs tea ans wait for my chips before I actually served it up

I thought they were cooked...hot, crispy and had more than they time stated in the oven

but they have cooled a lottle and now I'm paranoid that maybe they wont have been cooked

its a little more claggy than the haggis I buy just as haggis but I guess thats just cause its cheaper haggis used in bettered haggis fingers???

please be gentle with me, I have eaten one already

It is cooked. It is just claggy because they reckon that someone who will eat battered haggis will eat anything (and I speak as a lover of haggis in general)

Battered haggis?

Well, I've always heard that the scots were unkind to their animals but thats a comment on bagpipes. But fancy battering a puir wee haggis once you'd caught it.

Not as bad as battered cod. Not suprising its an endangered species.

I like little batter bits. But batter belongs on fish, not haggis. Or Mars Bars.

Or tiny frozen pizzas. (Yes, I have seen it done...)

Oooh I love batterred hagis, and black and white pudding.

Did you buy the fingers in a shop? I've never seen them before, just at the chippy but I'd sooo buy them.

Our local Indian Takeaway (in Glasgow, natch) does Haggid pakora!

It is sublime

I just called him and he is going to get it on the way home but his immediate reaction was .....

"are you pregnant or something?"

My period is 10 days overdue. I tested yesterday (didn't tell him as he would think I was a freak as he had a vasectomy almost 6 years ago).

I will have to test again!

Pigs blood, fat and - if you were to believe the Goodies in their 'Ecky Thump' episode, "Oh, poor little tom kittens"

I don't suppose many of you are old enough to remember the Goodies
