What's the least appealing foodstuff/food name you've ever seen

I had a bit of a stomach churn when I unexpectedly came across www.ocado.com/webshop/startWebshop.do?pvalue1=american+coated&pname1=entry&pvalue2=yes&pname2=clearT abs&mainFrame=%2Fwebshop%2FgetSearchProducts.do. I don't care if they are a different nationality, it's still cannibalism to eat Americans.

Uggh Podmog, that is foul. I can't imagine that I would find it easy to eat that at anytime of the day, but breakfast is especially horrible.

Were the Plopsies brown m&j, like coco-pops?

I think a loo paper called Bum would actually encourage me to buy it, at least it's not called Sandpaper or something equally eye-watering.

ooh yes the aspic thing reminded me of two foul things I had in Tibet: chilli cabbage with tongue for breakfast and yak butter tea. Which is sort of tea with a lump of rancid yak butter in it.

That Japanese soft drink Pocari Sweat.
I imagine the Pocari is some kind of animal that is made to run round very fast and towelled off, then the sweat-soaked towels wrung out into the can.

Yeuch, I've heard of that cheese, I can only hope that I never have to see it, let alone eat it. [queasy emoticon]

Oh yes, that pickled egg will take some beating. I'd add Spam to the list.

Margo&J, that does all sound awful but I try to be forgiving of other nations cuisines!

I've eaten that cheese, or rather the Italian version of it. It was very nice actually, once you get over the stomach churning aspect.

For fuck's sake, carmenere. You have driven me to swearing. You ate that rancid mess??

Report

Yes, it is a delicacy and I was managing a cheese shop at the time and at a cheese convention in Italy. When in Rome and all that, (Turin actually)
