it's not crap but not one I would watch twice

it's nice because it's a little different (hardly any dialogue for a lot of it) and the images and colours are really good

but if you've seen it once, you've seen it iykwim

I thiought the images and colours were awful - but I am no expert on animation or anythiung. It wasnt a patch on the other disney pixar films

DS1 - 6 yesterday - cried or was scared or in the loo nearly the whole way through..

I loved it - one of the bleakest, saddest animations I've ever seen but as a dire environmental warning and a rather sweet love story, it was great. I definately want to see it again.

I thought it was desperately sad and hopeless. OK, the two robots got it together. But Earth is still screwed. And all the fat slob humans weren't going to fix it.

Wouldn't see it again.

we quite liked wall-e, the story was very subtle though so may be perhaps a bit lost on younger kids.

Congratulations, btw, Hatrick

The fat slob humans so were going to sort Earth out - there were plants and everything in the final shots. Don't rob me of my misguided optimism!

It was beautifully excellent I thought

and I wasn't looking forward to it when Califrau said it sucked and then DH said it's like a silent movie

but it was lovely, I think you just need to be able to watch something that isn't 'handed to you' with dialogue really

my 7 and 4 year old adored it

.. but the fat slob humans were going to fix it .. hence the whole struggle to stand and walk .. it's like they're babies learning to walk and they overthrow the robots and plant the first seeds in a new earth

i felt it was slow, DCs didnt understand the underlying message though and thought it was boring at the beginning!

Oh great, bang goes my idea for entertainment on Tuesday.....

PC, you aren't supposed to put bad words in your thread titles y'know.

And why the name change back?

I liked it. Ok, the message was a bit heavy-handed, but that seems to be the norm with kids' films these days.

I particularly liked the fact that although they did a whole male/female thing with the robots, Eve wasn't traditionally female, and Walle rescued Eve, and later Eve rescued Walle.
