What are you wearing to run in at the moment?

I'm just about to start the couch to 5k program as a complete novice and am a bit clueless about what to wear!
Today I bought a sports bra, some 3/4 length stretchy sporty legging things and a tiny sleeveless running top.
Will I be too cold? If I wear something over the top will I be too hot?
I also felt like a complete tit trying it all on in the changing room and hope I don't look ridiculous

You will be freezing in just that! This time of year I wear full length running tights, sports bra, long sleeved top, thin running jacket and gloves.

If I were you, if you don't want to shell out for a jacket yet you could wear a hoodie over what you have.

I wear long tights, long sleeved top, 2 if it's cold and a jacket if it's raining. Gloves if needed and I always wear a buff with visor which keeps rain, sun, snow out of my eyes.

My short tights tend to come out about April.

I am in long running pants and a long sleeve top (with sports bra under if course)

I prefer 3/4 tights even in the cold. Today I ran in a long sleeved top and a thin jacket, hat and gloves.

I nearly always wear full running tights coz otherwise I'd use my hairy legs as an excuse a running vest with long or short sleeves and a lightweight jacket until spring.

Same as Sirzy, though on milder days (eg this morning, when it was about 8 degrees C here, albeit pissing down) I'll go for a short-sleeved rather than long-sleeved top. No jacket. Headgear is a baseball cap or occasionally a thin beanie hat. (Santa hat on Christmas day but that was a bit too warm really!)

I only wear a baseball cap if it is raining (glasses wearer!) or if it is very hot

more mile Vancouver thermal top (loads of colours but I mainly wear the hi vis one cos big fear of traffic on country roads etc) is saving my life at the moment

I REALLY hate the cold so will usually have another long sleeved running top with thumb holes underneath at the very least but if it's about 10c ish and up I can survive with just a vest and bra

then long running tights, with dance tights underneath if it's around freezing temp, knee high compression socks, an ear warmer and a separate buff (usually ends up round my wrist to wipe my dripping nose on but starts round neck) gloves are a must - my ears, fingers and forearms seem to suffer the most

I dreamed about running in shorts and bra last night, seems a lifetime ago! Cannot wait for summer, am a fair weather runner.

Ok, I can switch the vest for a long-sleeved top but hadn't considered headwear at all. Will try to dig out one of dh's old hats!

Long tights with shorts over the top for me. Coupled with a long sleeved top lightweight high viz jacket, gloves and wooly socks - really stylish! But I don't care I hate being cold.

I have just invested in some Karrimor lite running tights that are fleece lined, not to thick and bloody marvelous, even better they only cost £20 from the sweat shop :).

On my run yesterday, I had a thermal long sleeve base layer, a merino long sleeve and a long sleeve hi vis top, long tights, gloves and an ear warmer/headband! it was about 8 degrees, but my weather app said it was "real feel" 1 degree honest, it really did feel like 1 degree. Seems I am a cold person Blush

Full length running legs, sports top, long sleeved top, buff or headband, and light gloves. If it's raining, a light jacket on top.

Just back from a run, I wear three quarter length running trousers, sports bra then a running vest with added boob support, then a cotton vest and long sleeve reflective running jacket. I felt fine in that.

My reflective running.jacket was.just.a cheap one from sports direct, karrimor I think? They often.have stuff like that in.the sale.

Currently: long sleeved running tights, a long vest top that covers my bum (gets surprisingly cold considering the layers of flab it has to keep it warm Grin), long sleeved running top and then body warmer if dry or lightweight showerproof jacket if wet, plus gloves. Gloves usually come off after about 15mins but make it much nicer when heading out the door.

long running tights, base layer long sleeve top underneath a tee shirt, hi vis jacket (I run when its dark, usually after 7pm) and a buff.

full length tights, long sleeve half zip, with hat/gloves/jacket/shorts depending on the weather

Full length running tights, sports bra, long sleeved running top and a hoody or wind proof top which normally goes round my waist after 2 minutes. I have a buff that I wear as a headband round my ears as I hate having cold ears.

Bear in mind that at the start of c25k you will be walking more than running so think about what you would be comfortable doing a brisk walking in at the moment.
