Can i appeal against a neg. feedback?

I received a neg from a buyer. It was for a boys hoody, and the buyer was French. The feedback is in French and i don't even know what it says.
The buyer didn't contact me before leaving the neg, and i don't know what the problem was.
The hoody was from Next, and my son wore it about 4 times because it fitted him when it was too cold to be worn and was too bulky for under a jacket. It was listed as ' good condition'

If you google french to english translation you should be able to see what the FB says.

I disputed a neg last year & eBay removed it so definately worth a go!

what did the feedback say? I'd be happy to translate

It says - 'VOTRE HABITS ET TOUT TACHER EST SANE PART PAS A LA MACHINE'

I mailed the buyer saying sorry she was unhappy and if she had emailed me i would have been happy to help fix things, but she hasn't replied.

I just used an online translator -

'ALL YOUR CLOTHES AND SANE STAIN IS NOT A PART MACHINE'

That's what i got.
From that i guess there was a stain? Didn't see one before i sent it, but i could have over looked, and would have refunded if she had emailed me. It was only 1.32.

Norma - how did you manage to dispute your neg? I just received a neutral (no contact from buyer at all) saying that something wasn't received - I have proof of posting and made a successful claim against RM - so I have proof it was posted the day after the auction AND I gave a refund as soon as she left me feedback saying simply "not received". She didn't respond to my request to revise the feedback - in fact I've heard nothing from her about anything!

I think it said that there was a stain that wouldn't come out in the machine.

Gosh that's really poor French - are you sure she's French?! I agree with ChilliMoose about what it probably means though, but it takes a bit of deciphering!

What effect has the neg had on your feedback score?

Crokky - I wouldn't worry too much about one neutral as neutrals don't actually affect your % positive. You can add your own comment to it though (eg. Refunded in full once aware of problem) so anyone browsing sees it.

Well, i sent it to France anyway lol.
It has taken me to 98.something% i have 330 or so score. It's not so bad i guess, i left a comment underneath saying i would have sorted the problem if she contacted me. Just a pita!

Really annoying I agree - the buyer should have contacted you before leaving neg feedback, and sounds like it wasn't justified anyway. I guess it's worth seeing if you can get it removed as NormaSK suggested although don't know if you'll manage - let us know if you do though!

Any idea how to do it? Couldn't see anything on the site.

I phoned eBay about mine, spoke to a very lovely lady (I was very hormonal & crying as I was 7 months PG with DS & the person who'd left the neg had just conned me out of £50 ) she said she had to check it against the eBay regulations (apparently there are some cases in which they can & will remove a neg) & she removed it whilst I was on the phone

I was crying more for the fact that this nasty woman had conned me out of £50 for baby items she didn't even have, like I said I was 7 months PG & very hormonal!

you can comment and say no contact at all about item just neg and again leave feedback in capitals for her quick to hand out negative with no contact
