Just wnet to buy something, got a message saying "buyer has requirements" and went on to say that I didn't meet them because
A) I didn't have a paypal account OR
B) my paypal wasn't linked to my ebay account

Now I've never had this before, as far as I knew my two accounts were linked.

I thought it sounded dodgy, but since I was actually logged into ebay at the time, and it hadn't been sent by an email, I wasn't sure what to do.
Will maybe email paypal later and see what they say

you can check your paypal and ebay are linked by going to "My Ebay" "Account" "Paypal Account" - it will tell you there if they are, and if they're not you can do it.

FAQ _ I've never had problems with this before though, they have been linked, I remember doing it. i wonder if it's to do with the fact that I changed the debit card?
A few weeks ago, I bought something and paid for it with paypal, I know I ahd enough in teh account, yet they tried to take the payment through my debit card, and of course it was out of date. So why do that if there were sufficient funds int eh account?

Right FAQ, I have clicked on the link to "my payapl accouhnt", which normally brings me to the log in page for paypal. Now though it's giving me 2 options, either sign up for paypal or link accounts.
Why has it changed though, have I missed an announcemnt somewhere along the line?

Right I ahve linked them and it's telling me I have succesfully created a paypal account. Now its telling me to list a credit or debit card, plus a bank account to register them to the account. So I went on teh withdraw money page, which clearly lists the bank acocunt I get money paid into! So why are they asking for another one?

Just had a reply back from ebay who say

However, I can see that you have not yet linked your verified
PayPal account to your eBay account. I would like to inform you that
some sellers have placed a restriction to their listings for buyers
without a PayPal account that is linked to their eBay account.**

This bit is crap as I ahve been an ebay member for a few years and have bought and sold succesfully, yet now, because they are saying my accounts aren't linked, I can't buy anything.
they also tell em my paypal account isn't verfified, which it is, and I followed all their instructions with regards to linking, yet it still says they aren't linked!

Ebat isnt saying you cant buy ANYTHINg, you just cant buy from those who dont sell to un-linked paypal accounts
