I think my edd is aound the 16th April but as I have not had a period since coming off the pill I don't really have a clue!

I just showed DH my BFP - still can't believe it!

I also had cramps on day before BFP- was convinced it was game over but it wasnt. Weird feelings are normal now I think.

Oh and I dont think it matters about drink til 4/5wks or even later. Im sure its fine.

i have just had my 17 wk midwife appointment went gr8
saw midwife i had with dd1 was great to see her ( swapped to her as she is lovely and didnt bond with other one so well.
she hadnt seen dd1 since a baby in birthing centre.
blood pressure great,felt uterus brill and heard one happy baby.
got all bloods back all good 2.

i am feeling less tired now thank goodness!!
3 wks till scan cant wait.

popped to next to buy dd new socks has gone up a size.

also I was drinking neat whiskey the night before my BFP I kind of knew it was PG so was having last drink!

Hey GYo, thanks for the reassurance!

We were away for my sisters wedding and stayed in a hotel which was quite expensive so we decided to save money and stay at home. We cooked a meal together and drank our cava that we had saved from our actual wedding. And of course it was a candlelit dinner which was very romantic (we didnt have champagne at wedding to cut costs!)

evening ladies and congrats to gruffalo.... yay..... .

I had my mw appointment today. She said i looked very run down and tired, she is testing for annemia (sp?). She has taken the bloods and we had a lovely chat as it is the same one I had for dd. She reasured me re birth and I feel a lot happier now. I am going to same hospital as when I had dd so that is good as they will have all notes on dd birth there.

She said that she probably wont hear the hb as I am only 11 weeks but she tried and found it as soon as the machine went on. So happy it is really strong.....

I feel a lot happier now just want to get ds screening out of the way now (being done on thursday) and I can relax........

Anyway enough about me how are you all!!!

Admit am currently struggling to keep up with everyone both on this thread and antenatal thread due to sickness, so apologies if I've missed anything.

Does anyone know if it's safe to be near someone with shingles when you're pg? I had chicken pox as a child, but don't know if that gives me immunity? Next point is whether I want DS to catch Pox just now - sorry Cals, I know you're suffering with that with DS

You can still catch shingles even if you have had cp so I would keep away if I was you. I would also try to keep ds away from cp because you may not be up to it...
