They omit to mention that the water isn't heated to 70 degrees plus as WHO recommends thus rendering it frankly very dangerous.

I dont understand why the whole seperate machine though, wouldnt it be more useful to have a gadget that fixed onto the coffee machine to make formula too?

I wonder how much it will cost and if anyone will buy one

They are really milking it aren't they "upto 3yo" FFS. Babies don't need formula after a year as long as they are eating a balance diet. Just another way to part worried mums from their money.

I doubt that it will be sold in this country, Nestlé don't sell their infant formulae here.

I just can't really understand how they are planning on getting away with something dangerous. It'll be interesting to see if anyone takes action if they market it in countries that are signed up to the code.

Well presumable the powder in the pods is sterile, rather than the bulk boxes you can buy, and what with the antibacterial filters the 70 degrees isn't necessary.

It's bad but it's also quite funny, I can see people buying them, I probably would if I formula fed! I like a gadget!

However, I think I'll just keep using my own personal fully comprehensive infant feeding system for now.

Surely the power in the capsules would be sterile negating the need for the water to be 70 degrees. The problem with sterility and big pots of formula is that once it is open it's no longer sterile, thus needing the water to be hot enough to kill the bacteria surely?

Meh, seems like a good idea to me, ina world that sells wipe warmers and nappy disposal bins it's a wonder a system like this doesn't already exist (so says md who has never bought formula in my life)

there was a thread on this a couple of days ago and I still think what I wrote there, it's a good idea! and I'm someone who's currently bfing a 3.5year old and a 4m old and has never used a single bottle for either.

providing the capsules are sterile it should be safe, seems like it would be especially good for night feeds to me.

Oops, dh and I were talking about this.

Apparently the pods for nespresso coffee don't actually have powder or granules in them, just very very concentrated liquid coffee.

I wonder if that's the same for the baby milk ones? Very, very concentrated sterile milk that is then watered down.

I still reckon cartons are cheaper and easier than this though.
