Sorry I don't like it - boy or girl?

Awful! Suppose it turns out to be a little slim boy? He'd get the piss taken out of him remorselessly!

I would practice a few scenarios first.

In the park, child is climbing up the wrong way on a slide "Atlas, get down from there at once."

At the supermarket. "SHall we have pepper hummus or ordinary Humous Atlas?"

On the beach."have you seen a little boy wearing yellow trunks? HIs name is Atlas"

At the school " hello, I'm Atlas's mummy, would he like to come round to play one afternoon"

If you can see yourself using the name with a straight face and ignoring the expressions on other peoples faces then go ahead.

Ps a skinny malinkey 13 year old might not relish being compared to the mythical Atlas .........

I like it, but it’s quite a name to handle.

Love it but it's a heavy burden for a child to bear

Sorry bad joke. I like it-it was one of the more out-there options we knocked around-but it is a lot of name. If you live in Stoke Newington or similar then he'll blend right in, if Runcorn/Gateshead/Derby then maybe think on.

This must be a wind up. Atlas is awful.

To be fair, I had a colleague a few years ago they named her son Attila. Confused So maybe Atlas isn't so bad?

Just kidding, it's terrible.

It was on our list for our second. I like it. We chose a different option in the end. We then ran into an Atlas at a baby group.

Attila is a Hungarian name, if that's their heritage then fine.

Don't take my advice on baby names though, I know 3 grown men called Merlin-and a skewed sense of what's reasons
