Baby names

Another naming row!

Battle has officially commenced! My DH and I are at war over a name for our expected baby boy. We spent countless hours disagreeing over names for our DD and eventually pulled Stella Joy out of a hat (no really, literally pulled it out of a hat. We couldn't agree so each chose a few favourites and picked one each).
We've got a peedie bit of time yet, ETA is middle of Feb, but the MIL is putting on the pressure to get a name sorted.
I'm keen for something a little different without being cringy or downright strange.
I've been championing:
Caspian
Ezra
Corin

DH is hoping for a local classic; Kenneth, Donald, Alexander, Magnus. All perfectly nice names, but not quite what I had in mind. I really don't want to call my son Kenny or Sandy.
Peter is already in for a middle name after my late BIL. I'd like another middle name, too, but DH isn't fussed.
Any new suggestions gratefully considered!

Xander
Fraser
Lachlan

Rudi

I like Corin but caspian is a wee bit "out there" for me. Ezra always sounds like a girls name to me, even tho i know its not!

I second the suggestion of Xander - like Alexander for your DH but a bit more different/quirky/modern for you. You could also consider Sacha for the same reason.

Garner, Cory, Kieran, Callum, Jolyon, Logan, Maximus

Oh, also:

Jesse, Jared, Jude, Elliot, Ellis, Evan

Xander could be a good compromise! I quite like Elliot, too. Thanks! I'll pitch them to DH.
Pannacott, go for it! I'm not giving up on it yet, I really like it.

Just being nosy but I'm thinking you're in Orkney?? I'd pick a good Scottish name .

Ooooh so many lovely names! I wonder if I could convince DH on Gideon...
I hadn't considered Colin, but actually thinking on it now, I like it. That one will be an easy sell aswell, it's a "good, normal, scottish name" like DH wants. Thank you!

I quite like Colin, too. Everyone knows it but hardly anyone's called it. I've only ever known of one.

Jaytee what gave me away? If MIL had her way, he'd be Thorfinn Peter and that'd be the end of it. A proper Orcadian. Except theres 3 Thorfinns in DD class at nursery and an abundance of Finns too. Great name, too common here.

Calum , Finnian, Sholto

Donald or Kenneth would be fine if he were 85. I like Magnus and Alexander (which would be shortened to Alex not Sandy).

Alexander (too popular?) and Magnus (Gus for short?) both excellent.
Caspian is OK but a bit Narnia.

I don't like Xander at all, but Al, Alec and Alex are all fine esp Alex.

Don and Ken are Ok.

No to the other suggestions made by OP.

Calum is nice.

How about Duncan?

Or Blair?
