Very Catholic sounding but a good solid name.

I have only known one JP and he was an arse of the highest order. However, it wouldn't put me off the name.

My first thought was "George and Ringo" Grinnice name though, can't really go wrong with it. If you like it then go for it Smile

So long as you don't add in George and Ringo as middle names you'll be alright.

Tis quite Pope-y though.

40 year olds!
I know a few.
All JPs or jays or john.

I like popes' names. Im not even catholic. I like classic names but unusual ones, but not william harry etc. Popes' names leo gregory dominic john-paul appeal to me.
Not pious though!

Pope. Or George and Ringo. TBH neither of those connotations would bother me, so I'd still go for it if I were you Smile

I instantly thought of JP II, but Pope names can be nice. I love the name Benedict for example.

I thought of John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin... much cooler association than the Pope.

I like it. But I like both John and Paul individually, too.

Coming from a good Irish family, it's a name my Granny would love!

I knew a John Paul, he looked like a young Mr Burns from The Simpsons.

No.
Reminds me of the Pope, or half of the Beatles.

I hate it but then I know a horrible 19yr old John Paul so that clouds my opinion.
