Love it, my ds's middle name after my grandfather. Think it's got such lovely nn's Rob, Bob, Bobby(my favourite), Robbie. A great name go for it Grin

I am not a fan of names that can be shortened/ nicknamed. But if you are ok for them to be called Rob, Bob, Robbie or whatever, Robert is a good, strong name IMO.

I love it.
dh vetoed it as he just kept walking around saying "Bob" in a Black Adder type way Sad
Personally though, I like Rob, Robbie, and Bobby, and could cope with Bob although wouldn't have encouraged it.

I love it as its my DS's name. However I don't love it for other people to give their DS as a name as I chose it particularly because it was solid, easy to pronounce but NOT over popular at the moment! Grin

Like Robert, but hate all the nn's he'll most likely be called

I'm married to one. 6'4" and like a beanpole so a long way from stodgy Smile

Fish, couldn't agree more. Robert itself sounds lovely, but not sure I'll be able to cope with Bob and the like..Confused
