That's it, really. Competent, physically appealing, entertaining and clearly very bright. And an excellent husband.

Come on. Who do you guys think is the perfect man?

Yes. A Lancashire accent doesn't preclude that ...

Just try to keep talking under that pressure, and co-ordinating that show, the people, making it good - it's a feat. I think an achievement that honestly few could pull off.

His stand up show wasn't great - and was v rude (not in a funny way) and it certainly didn't make him seem attractive in the slightest.

Think you must be his wife Grin

Ha.

So how could anyone not fancy him? Am I wrong?? Thank you, Sheeeeesh.

I bet he's really nice on Sundays, too. I bet he would be happy to go to the garden centre and wander around and carry slightly pointless pot plants to the car. He bloody would. Smile

You know he's wearing and earpiece and is probably getting feed from the gallery? Plus they'll have edited out all the really shite bits where he dried, fluffed his lines, fell flat etc

Competent.

Not something I would have had as a top quality in any fantasy husband, it has to be said.

Makes me think of a man hoiking his slacks up by his thumbs, shoving a paper under his oxters and then setting about a piece of DIY (or indeed, intimate relations) with grim determination to Get The Job Done Adequately before Homes Under The Hammer finishes.

Nice bloke but insufficiently Welsh.

I'm going to suggest Steve Jones - I'm not sure he's going to get into Mensa any time soon mind - Rhod Gilbert, Gethin Jones or Ioan Gruffudd..

It is clearly Kriss Akabusi. I think ability over 400m hurdles and knowledge of world records is a crucial aspect of any future husband

Ioan Gruffudd. Now there you're talking. I'd blow his horn anyday, etc etc etc...

I am however completely with you on your choice of competence as top attribute in fantasy husband. Fantasy shags can be hopelessly impractical, but fantasy husbands need to know how to fix a leaking toilet.

(all that bashing on the head and pain spikes from tattoos probably not that good for his brain cells, though) (but does it matter?)

Errr he's gained all his fame off the back of Phoenix Nights Koala If it wasn't for Peter Kaye (who also hasn't been funny since) he'd probably be working in the chippy back home now.
