AIBU?

To wonder why a man in the office next to mine asked whether I've ever got a train to work?

I told him I haven't, but was just shocked that he would think I have. I work in an office, why does he assume that I can fix trains? Confused

A train to work, as in have you ever repaired a train, made a faulty one operational.

Did you get the train to work?
=
Did you commute to this workplace by train?
Or
Did you fix the train?

Ok. I think I get it. Terrible, terrible play on words complicated by the fact I get the train to work! Smile

Tell us another, Jim Davidson.

I quite like it. Blush I like a play on words.

More Tommy Cooper than Jim Davidson I reckon Smile

Speaking of which, did anyone see the thing on Twitter recently where someone has posted excerpts from Jim Davidson's autobiography? It was really disturbing and quite upsetting.

There are a lot of unnecessarily nasty, angry and bitchy people on here aren’t there? I posted an inoffensive, jokey comment - and look at some of the responses. I’m not bothered about me, and the reaction, but seriously, I think some of you need to look at your lives! Smile

Now look here, OP!

Your opening post was extremely silly!

Which means I liked it.

Thanks Smile I mean, seriously, we’ve probably all got enough to worry about but some of the responses to this had me shaking my head. I love it when people say something is crap, but offer nothing in response. Go on then, you lot who said it’s ‘crap’ etc. Tell us a joke.
