I hate the fact that all sorts of pervs are probably sat in front of their 42" and bigger tvs, while young people are displaying their bits in giant closeups.
I feel these young people (and lets face it they're nearly all young) are being exploited for the sake of ratings.

For the record, I'm not a prude about my body and will often go to clothing optional beaches on holidays, skinny dip in pools, I have sat in saunas (sometimes mixed) with no clothes on. No clothes? No problem.
But, there is something that doesn't sit right about this programme.
I can't put my finger on it. There's a seedy element.
There's not much that shocks me and Im not one for banning things, but this programme should be banned, or at the very least banished to after 12pm, on one of these pay per view channels.

It should not be on in the middle of the week, at prime time viewing.
Which is very often family viewing time.

What's the point of OFCOM when they allow shit like this on our screens? Confused

I agree. I was astonished when I saw a clip of this on a link the other day. For me it's the fact that people are judged on their body first I think? It's like someone decided to go for the lowest common denominator and make a program about it.

Im suprised they found so many people to be on it. Can you imagine how awkward it would be to go into work the day after it airs...

I was wondering recently what OFCOM do these days.

There's the programme with the box too.

There was an awful lot of perviness and sexism happened in the 70's, especially towards women and we now view that as being completely wrong and would not accept it in this day and age.
But why do we accept and put up with this?
It's just as pervy and is exploitative, in it's own way.

Just shows how people will do anything for 5 mins of fame.
How enbarressed must they be going to work after people have seen it!

The female presenter is the creepiest part of the programme.
She's all fake concern and sensibility
The reality is, people are treated like they're at a meat market - debased to body parts.

Is it back on? I found it hilarious because I'm childish like that and it actually made me feel good about my own naked body, haha

Orrsenter is creepy. Show is cringe. However I just can't get my knickers in a twist over consenting adults taking their clothes off for their own benefit. Equal men and women taking clothes off and getting judged. Heterosexual, homosexual homobisexual all represented. Trans / transitioning people represented.
Maybe there is a guy or women out there masturbating along but Tbf the show is so clinical. They might as well watch the new series of Outlander

We watched about 5 minutes of this I actually felt like weeping that after decades of feminism and fighting for rights for myself, my daughter and our peers and heiresses this sort of program can find participants, be conceived, planned filmed and put out.

Its on at 10pm. If you're watching tally with minors surely they're less likely to be up watching tally at 10 in the week.

This type of programme must be a dream come true to pervs of the Jimmy Saville persuasion.
I think that's another thing that bothers me.
Some of those girls and boys aren't much older than my teenage son and daughter and I hate the thought that pervy degenerates all over the land are rubbing their hands with glee at having this broadcast into the privacy of their living rooms. Angry

We often hear 'Ofcom received so many complaints about such and such programe' but rarely hear that they remove a programme.

How bad does it have to get before OFCOM takes something off air? Confused

The program doesn't take anybody's rights away though does it? And whatever grievances you may have, it seems odd that your only concern is for the effects on women (presumably female participants) when another poster has outlined that everybody is represented on the show. For better or for worse. How and why are women uniquely disadvantaged here?

Older children and young teenagers are often still up at that time.

It's degrading to women and men.

It's drivel and it's scraping the barrel.
TV and TV presenting at it's worst.
But, I suppose I can always 'switch over' if I don't agree with it.
That's what people usually get told.

Then change the channel. There all grown consenting adults and there's a lot more explicit stuff on earlier in the night

A colleague told me about this show. I couldn't actually believe it was true so I tuned in last week. I thought it was exploitative, really cringeworthy and just the most dreadful sort of car crash TV around. That presenter is Sue Perkin's g'f in RL so just think it's 2 degrees of separation from the GBBO by proxy haha!!! Blush

I have a question, if it's all so innocent and there's nothing wrong with it, why don't they have a variety of older contestants?
Older people are looking for love.

Could it be that the programe makers know that if they have older people displaying their wobbly imperfect bits on the screen, they won't appeal to the voyeurs and will therefore lose ratings? Hmm
