Upset over a portion of egg fried rice (lighthearted-ish)

DH wanted to order Chinese for dinner. I would have preferred chip shop chips, but he really wanted Chinese. So I ask for sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice. When the food arrived there was no rice. DH had forgotten to order it. So now I'm eating plain boiled rice that I've cooked myself and silently grumping because I don't want to have an argument over rice. But it's fucking noticeable that he's got exactly what he wanted to eat and I don't

So AIBU to be cross about the lack of egg fried rice? And WIBU to make him go to the chip shop for the chips he talked me out of with the promise of the aforementioned rice?

Yanbu but to make egg fried rice, just add boiled rice to a wok with a bit of oil in, add a beaten egg, and a splash of soy sauce. It's exactly the same as from the Chinese.

I may or may not have cried at a similar situation (disclaimer: am v pregnant) - DH did an immediate volte-face and went back to collect the correct food (what's worse is that I'd ordered it online so it was my mistake!).

That is just rubbish i would have been miffed We had a chinese on mothers day Dh went i asked for chicken satay skewers and noodles i got chicken satay insauce with boiled rice i was actually gutted.

He's got chicken chow mein and spring rolls, plus he's splitting a portion of chicken balls with DS1. He's also shared some of the chow mein with him since he would have been having some of my rice. So he's the only person who actually got what they wanted to eat today.

I should have just cooked in the first place.

Egg fried rice is just plain rice, tossed with hot oil and an egg. Takes about a minute to turn plain rice into egg fried rice. Why don't you just do that?

YABU and YANBU. Chinese takeaways make the best chips ever, so no need for chip shop chips.

However, sweet and sour usually comes with a side, so why wasn't one sent? Ours do chips or boiled rice free or fried rice for 60 p extra.

All these people saying egg fried rice is simple to make at home.. no it bloody isn't. Mine is never anywhere near take-away yummy-ness when I try to make it. It comes as either soggy lumps with half cooked egg or over-cooked gravel.
