I feel safe and secure in my home.

My abusive dh moved out a few weeks ago . Thanks to the help and support of mn over the last few years I had the strength to finally split with him for good.

Tonight he has rung me as he is very drunk and I feel liberated that I no longer live with this man and i don't have to deal with his drunken abuse ever again.

I feel scared and alone as I have to start again after a 20 year marriage but I would not have done it without the likes of anyfucker and all the other wonderful people who gave me advice here.

Merry Christmas to you all.

And to anyone in an unhappy / abusive relationship- you deserve more.
It took me years to leave and I really wish I had done it earlier. I put up with it and hoped he would change. He promised and promised he would change.
He never did.
I am finally free from the anxiety and worrry about what sort of mood he will be in later. I feel safe for the first time in 20 years.

So glad that MN gave you the strength and support to leave an abusive relationship. They can leave you feeling so isolated and helpless but with MN you are never alone.

I wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas and future. Flowers
