Is my Christmas dinner unreasonable?

I have just done a big chunk of the Xmas food shop today. I'll be cooking for 10 including PILs who haven't had Xmas lunch with us before. I luuurve Christmas dinner and all the leftovers so tend to make a bit of a feast. DH has happily tucked into said feast for many years. I'm doing...
Smoked salmon starter
Turkey
Pigs in blankets
Stuffing
Roasties
Parsnips
Sprouts with bacon
Red cabbage
Gravy
Christmas pudding with brandy butter and cream

Apparently, according to DH, PILs will not be happy because 1) pigs in blankets are a bit common 2) sprouts shouldn't have bacon anywhere near them 3) starters are unnecessary 4) it really is too much food to be able to enjoy it.

My response was that I've bought the food, I will cook the food and if they don't eat it I will happily consume the leftovers. Therefore - tough bloody luck if they don't like it!!!

I can't see a single, solitary reason for him to question or say someone wouldn't be happy with your menu, it sounds just right. They should be grateful you're going to the trouble and so should he tbh.

I Loooooove xmas dinner too, Mine is almost identical to yours although I add a few more side dishes (because my DH and DS will be building lego all day anyway and it's the one day of the year I really cook a feast, and I bloody love leftovers).

If your PiL's don't want the "common" food they can happily not eat it. The trimming are the best bit of christmas dinner and I challenge anyone to not touch a pig in a blanket!

Similar to ours but we will have carrots and broccoli instead of red cabbage, and we will have an alternative to Christmas pudding as we have that boxing day

DH is normally very appreciative of my cooking. It's like he's suddenly turned into a little boy seeking his parents approval. Weird but I'm certainly not going to humour him with this. Christmas dinner is not to be messed with!!!

Pigs in blankets are common? How? You live and learn. I have roasted celeriac on my Christmas dinner - that went down like a shit sandwich with my ILs - too new-fangled. They did have parsnip, carrots, red cabbage and broccoli but the introduction of the c-word was a step too far.
In 19 years of marriage the scrooges have never made me so much as a Pek chopped pork sandwich... we are always feeding the misers.
